it's amusing because he's playing a whole bunch of quotes about hitscan weapons while not using a hitscan weapon for over 70% of the video... It also confirms my hypothesis that it's mostly low level play that's finding this OP. guy is just standing still and firing half the time. You do that in a comp match and you get plastered. In most of his killing sprees he's also killing off players who are almost dead already, which I could just as easily do with a spinfusor as the SMG.
raider smg, doombringer chaingun, sentinel and infiltrator pistols are all projectile weapons (you lead with them)
ranger AR, tech SMG, soldier and scrambler pistols, sentinel sniper rifle and all the shotguns are the hitscan weapons (you don't lead with them, instant shot travel time)
The Raider's SMG damage was dropped from 120 per shot to 110
140 to 110

Never llama grab. Aka grabbing the flag going slowly. Never midfield duel, its completely useless. If someone says the flag is secure DONT FUCKING RETURN IT Those three should keep you good for the most part, some other stuff though. Get raider first, or sent if you like sniping. Raider/Sent/Ranger are the best classes.

Been playing a ton of this recently usually around 10pm-2am on weekdays as silverfire, US West. Been primarily playing Sentinel, but slowly starting to figure out how to play Pathfinder and Soldier effectively.

God damnit I fucking hate llamas. So many damn times where I'm flying in at 200mph to pick it up and some llama walks up and picks it up, walks 3 feet, gets blown up and dies. Fuck.

That's probably one of the reason that I've been playing flag defense lately ^_^
I can't play base disrupter, cause gens are useless. Cant play gen defender, cause gens are useless. Can't cap the enemy flag, cause of llamas Flag chasing and Flag defending I can have the most effect on the game by FAR.
two or three good defenders/chasers and a capper can win the game single handedly in a pub most of the time, while the rest of your team deathmatches in the middle :D

In previous tribes if your gens were down for a long period of time your team had no chance. In this game your gens can be down the entire game and you can easily win.

Yes, if it's lopsided that hard. On equal footed teams, a gen down means winning and losing. Not only does it take down radar, turrets, and tech turrets -- it also creates new paths on some maps (IE: Bella Omega) for people to take your flag.

I disagree, I think in competitive matches the players won't pay any attention to gens except when they need to get vehicles in the later game. Having disrupters and defenders just means less people that are out on the field dealing with the flag. They just changed Bella Omega because people were complaining that generators don't do anything, so that change is definitely a step in the right direction, but the generators still don't do nearly enough. Spawning in load outs negates the purpose of generators, I wish everyone spawned as some kind of weaker class.

Honestly, I think it's clear the game wont release with the current map pool. I think generators should serve more of a purpose of map control if anything, as seen on Bella Omega. Having that generator down is a HUGE mobility bonus all around. I also think that turrets need to be buffed in some fashion or more incentive to repair them. Quite frankly, it's kind of depressing to always see past 5 minutes in turrets killed except for the front one which is mk. 4 and kept up by at least one guy. Turrets should be something to be encouraged to keep up to increase defense, as well as the radar station.
I know the gen is extremely weak, but to classify it as "useless" is a major exaggeration.

some more questions: what to spend money on? how the hell should i use the fly thingy? just used it as a mobile turret/siege weapon so far. kill way more on foot tho.. what is that "energy pack"? totally forgot about that and wanted to test it in training but it does nothing <.< what are the requirements on getting a assist? is there any point to ranks?
maybe stupid questions but their forum doesnt exactly give much information...

Too bad Bella is such a shitty map minus the added importance of the generator on that map.
In unrelated news, I hooked up my internet connection in another room and ran a cable to my comp in hopes of alleviating my connection issues. Hope to try it out tonight! Hit me up if you wanna play, in game name is Charger.

Agreed, I have a little faith in Hi-Rez and I think they will listen and make the gens a little more important, the first taste was Bella Omega.
In other news, there's enough of us TLers playing Tribes that we should try to get organized times to take over a server and try to get a bunch of us on the same team and crush some noobs.
We could maybe get some kind of more competitive team going as well. (I don't care about tribes ESPORTS or whatever, but I wanna at least try some competitive matches when the game comes out)

Of course Bella is a shitty map, but it's the prime example of how to do a Generator correctly.
I have faith in them.

Thursday at 6PST? standard time for most of the states. LET IT BE! Anyone have a vent of mumble? My ign is henery btw.

I honestly, the more I think about it, wouldn't want to play with people from TL unless I already know their skill level. Most of the time I play with randoms on the internet, even TL, it turns out horrendously.
If you're really interested in playing, shoot me a PM or something and we can hook up. However, not much for pugging it up with random people on TL

Yep sounds good, I will be on. I'll try to get vent and mumble. Do you play on USWEST or EAST. I'll add you once i start playing again on wednesday\
Some quotes from a dev, (wow i should be studying)
We'll be doing some experimentation with smaller team sizes in the Pub matches over the next week or so. Tomorrow morning we are going to reduce the max team size to 14.
Projectile Inheritance changes are in this week's patch. Don't know what others will think, but I've been enjoying where things settled with this.
