Again, thanks to Headnoob for the key. I finally got around to play the game, and I'm having a blast. Ended up playing for about four hours straight. I think I'll end up pre-ordering it.

That video is prior to last patch where Raider's smg got nerfed and spinfusor's splash radius and projectile buffed. There's still some tuning for the weapons but last patch took the game to right direction.

I played quite a bit of T:A over the weekend for the first time since the beta started, and I was generally impressed with how the game felt and played. I think that the class system is coming together fairly nicely. There wasn't anything that struck me as being overtly broken (other than the graphics engine which runs like ass on my computer for some reason). Weapon-wise, the spinfusor is king, which is the way it should be, IMO.

The Raider's SMG damage was dropped from 120 per shot to 110, and the only change the AR got was that the first few bullets are no longer 100% accurate as they previously were, but instead are effected by the normal spread pattern.
In short, in the grand scale of things nothing remains changed and they're still raping just as much face as before the patch. In fact, the removal of access to the FoV command/shooting while zoomed probably affected AR whoring a lot more than the accuracy change itself.
Any word on the feedback mechanisms for firing a weapon in Tribes? Global Agenda (Hi-Rez's MMO) had this terrible problem of none of the weapons having feedback, or kick, or any noticeable effect on the player you hit (besides damage). Kind of killed the game for me because everyone would be running around with giant laser guns that shot energy beams that disappointingly just... stopped once they hit an object.

Don't have beta, might steal a key here.
Projectile weapons affect your momentum when they hit you so if you land a well placed projectile you can cause someone to stop dead or fly up in the air uselessly.
The weapons I use all fire too slowly to notice any recoil.

The Raider's SMG also causes less 'projectile knockback' which should allow for people to get away from SMGs a lot easier.

I'm confused by that video. So when I'm using the AR I'm supposed to aim straight at them?
haha that guy has amazing aim. I can not track people like that, its freaking impossible. Look at the sped up parts and how he never takes his crosshair off his target, I dont think most people can do that.
