I am really looking forward to the patch. I haven't played in years, but this is probably going to bring me back.

This patch is only live on the test server right now -- it's not public yet, but it's coming. I really dig most if not all of the changes so far. Definitely looking forward to playing this game again, hope the patch will bring in a bunch of old players who want to check it out.

The class overhaul is going to be a major change. We'll go from 9 classes all the way down to 3 (light/medium/heavy), but with greater weapon selection. This is how it was in Tribes 1 and 2. You can track the progress here:

I'm also completely on board with perks being integrated into the armor sets. In competitive play you really have no choice but to pick between one of the top two, maybe top three perks available, and all the others were pointless.

Quick Draw is an example of this. That perk was only really used by Raiders/Soldiers who were dueling, and while it would be great to have on every other class and make the game more fun, you couldn't run with it because other perks were more vital.

Yeah good luck with that when every tribes/team based fps player will be playing Overwatch. Not to mention they're just pissing off Tribes fans by not selling a great IP instead of keeping it after having abandoned it, and now try to cash on in it again.
