wow i didnt even know about the keys iv been signed up on their site and got nothing so far. If anyone is able to share one let me know

Frag vid from one of the better lights in the beta. A lot of kind of easy midairs and a few truly impressive ones. I've actually gotten a couple better than this guy shows off, but nowhere near as consistently. I even got two midair awards with one disk ^^

This may not seem particularly impressive to people who haven't played the game, but I'll put down a plate to collect the player jaws.

one of the better vids out there for the time being i guess. compared to the older ones though it looks so meh seeing how close everybody is relative to the shooter, specially when you go back and look at the legacy series or the best of the best series =[ i'm still having trouble adjusting to the decreased inertia on the disc, i was practicing T2C until beta launched thinking it'd be relatively the same but the disc travels too slow in comparison >_<

i'm glad you guys were able to use the keys ^^

I'm in that one twice actually at 4:42 and 6:03. Still that other video is pretty cool even if most of the midairs aren't super duper awesome or anything.

Nah, third person blocks a portion of your view. It just looks cool. Some people like to use third person while skiing, I personally don't.

third person was used a lot at times to estimate shots.
you'll often find a player switching between third and first in the middle of duels.
it feels noticeably different when you're approximating mid-airs, whatever floats your boat.
i find it helps me estimate mid-range MA's when i used to sit on duel servers

I switch between third person and first person depending on the situation. I feel a better overview with 3rd person, but more accuracy in some battles (dependng on the terrain and distance) with 1st person view.

@cori: yeah, I think it's going to take a year or so for any seriously awesome consistency and long range midairs to appear, since I think both projectile speed and inheritance are going to get tweaked a lot, which will throw off people's rythm for a while. And I actually think the 'true' pro-ness is going to be landing midairs with things like the arxbuster/sticky nades/bolt launcher/impact nitrons etc. Spinfusor is going to the be the catch-all, everybody masters weapon, while learning the individual characters of other class weapons to a very high degree is going to be far trickier.

Did you guys leave jet/jump on right click? I can't tell if it's better to have them separately, since skiing is a different command from jumping here.

I think the general consensus is jump/jet/ski all on separate binds. There's a bug with jump/jet that will kill your velocity a lot of times if you use it, so thats pretty much a no-go. I gues ski/jump is personal preference, but I'm not really a fan of it.
