The harder it becomes, the more you should focus on the basics.

If this is the best FPS, I don't want to play FPS's..

I am hoping that, as people get better, Hi-Rez will better be able to see these problems and will work to fix them.

I've been accused of hacking with the bolt launcher (How an aimbot would work with that is beyond me)

Gameplay in all honor but the most fun thing with Tribes, by far, are the modern warfare players who sometimes come in and complain about 'noobtubes'. It literally makes my day every time

Bolt launcher and thumpers(extending to disc launchers and other explosive weapons depending on definition). It's just scrubs who don't know how to manage their jet and stay on the ground more than in air and get hit by thumeprs all day err day and then complain about these weapons.

Noobtubes are grenade launchers in modern warfare. Since the maps in modern warfare are quite small and the gameplay quite slow killing people with grenade launchers is pretty damn easy, so they're known as noobtubes. And anytime anyone ever got killed by one there's an instance uproar of "omg noobtube".

It's quite different in Tribes though :>

AP grenades are pretty good, it'll one shot most people. Proximities are more for dueling. Tbh if you want to play around at the enemy base, use raider. Much better than soldier for LO.

Survivalist works, I use bounty hunter (due to me being a shriker, otherwise I'd use something else) and potential energy. Honestly just pick something and potential energy and you should be good.

Safety third and potential energy in combination with jammer pack (which is a must have) is quite good. Raider shines on Crossfire and Arx (maybe Katablabla too). On the other maps i think you are better off with soldier as LO.

Umm what? How is jammer pack a must have, and why'd need PE for it. And do please elaborate how raider shines only on those two maps? Ditch the jammer pack for shield(keep PE) and you'll shine on any map really.

Since the open beta I've been called aimbotter noob, airplane hacker(I do wonder how aimbot would work on shrike) and a lot more hilarious things. I just hope we get priv servers this week.

When there is a lot of defense (DMBs and TECs) i found that jammer pack is priceless. You dont have to worry for those 5+ turrets shooting at you left and right, and can focus on the tecs. And your red name disappears. Which basicly means that you can often times get into melee range before the enemies realises that you are an enemy.

On the maps: I think that Raider is especially good indoors or on maps with small flagspot. Definitely not a very good open field dueller. Atleast i feel i perform better with soldier on drydock and kata. Doesnt mean raider cannot shine on those maps.
