For all you xbox players out there:
Do you all think Black ops is as fun/better than Modern Warfare Two? Do you have a better time playing it?
Personally, I think that MW2 is waaay better for a couple reasons. First off, it is probably the best call of duty title for quickscoping, although Cod4 is a close second. Also, the gameplay seems much more fun and clean. I definitely love to use all the scrubby things like riot shields and javelins. I know some people don't like nubtubz very well but I don't mind them at all. All my friends play this too because they feel the same way.
Black Ops, on the other hand, is a whole different story. It seems like to do well in it one just has to out-camp another. I hate how try-hard all the players are and how poor treyarch is at making games (imo all their success is from IW previous games). Also, the maps are pretty drab and predictable. It just seems treyarch caters to the extremely casual player what with the simple maps and ez mode guns (ak74u). The gameplay is just boring. It takes way less skill.
The only good part is zombies.
So what do you all think? Is MW2 better than Black Ops? Is it more fun? Discuss!
Edit: I should've clarified. I'm talking about multiplayer in general, not campaign.

Both are absolutely terrible. As far I'm concerned, it's like comparing Shit to Piss.
Black Ops is the more balanced game, which is the deciding factor in which is, "more fun," to me.
P.S. MW2 was the WORST CoD, BY FAR, when it comes to quickscoping. Making it easy defeats the purpose of quickscoping, and with that out of concern, I really see no reason to elect MW2 the best in comparison to.... anything.

Why does easier quickscoping defeat its purpose? It's certainly still not "easy". By that logic quickscoping is best in halo 3 or using a wa2000 in black ops. Quickscoping must at least be doable, and a legitamate strategy, otherwise it would just be fucking frustrating.

I'm going to go at it with a very casual perspective.
I haven't played many FPS shooters, I've played Vegas, Battlefield, GoW, CoD and I play them for the campaign and don't spend much time online.
Now MW2 had a really nice campaign, I could not put down the game because I wanted to know what happens etc. I had tons of fun playing the game, mastering the weapons and the the spec ops was really fun too. Was so fun having a friend over and try to 3 star some of those echo missions. Geez armor piercing was brutal! As for online goes, I think the maps were very well done and I really enjoyed them. I was a noobie with like a 0.9 KDR but I could play very strategically and it was fun.
Black ops, well actually I found the campaign so boring I had to stop playing it half way through, I didn't like how it was done, the story seemed very one dimentional. I like some of the new weapons like the crossbow which is fun to use. Possibly my favorite thing though is that person vs ai mode. When my friend comes over it's a blast playing 2 v 8 computers and we both feel like winners afterward. I personally don't enjoy the online much, not that I suck, it's just the maps feel like they have poor texture and not very well thought out. My friends tell me it's more competitive that MW2, which it maybe is, but the games I play nobody gets good streaks if they are better than your opponents just because it's made to be like - you kill a guy, you die type of deal. I feel like it's continouesly 1a'ing in starcraft.
The verdict, MW2 is a funner game.

I am just a casual FPS player, but I am split between the two games. I like the feel of black ops better (dont ask what the definition of "feel" is, it just is what it is lol). I also like the wager matches of black ops a lot.
However, I for some unexplained reason, was addicted to leveling up in MW2, but do not get that same feeling in black ops. I think it was because I liked trying to earn all the emblems and callsigns, whereas its not the same in black ops when you can just buy whatever you want. I like that idea for perks and such, but I don't enjoy it for the personalization. I loved running around feeling all cool and such with my callsign for two headshots with one bullet.

I hated MW2. The campaign in MW1 was so good, and they completely ruined it in MW2, IMO. And the multiplayer was so unbalanced and broken -_-
Black Ops is better, but not by much -_-

MW1 is probably the best COD out there. Perfect story, perfect voice acting, perfect cutscenes (unlike the shitty cutscenes blizzard pulls off). MW2 and BO don't compare to MW1.

Oh yeah, thats something I totally forgot to mention. how AWFUL MW2's campaign was. Black Ops was not nearly as good as MW1, but still a lot better than MW2.

I played MW2 on PC and have played BO just once but i think that there is no difference, When i played MW2 we were 13th on ClanBase EU. (its playing without attachments and perks) it was fun to play with friends. So i asked my ex clan mates what they think about BO so far and they were disappointed. MW2 is just year older than BO, its like what is more fun fifa 2010 or 2011 ?
OT: 2 days ago i played QL against some dude who plays also BO and he told me that there are some tournaments. is it true ? he also told me that its on IEM :o and it got the biggest prize pool and SC2 is dieing. is it true ?

MW2 had such a nicer refined feel to it compared to black ops.

I only really played MW2 and blkops, mostly blkops and only MW2 on the free weekends for steam. I only play these games for the multiplayer and really they are practically the same except blkops offers zombies. In terms of Multiplayer experience they are practically the same game. If you have MW2 online you aren't missing much on blkops. The only COD I own is blkops on 360 and that's good for me.
Personally, I'm into the semi-autos such as the M14 and some of the assault rifle. A lot of the weapons feel great to use and I frag hard so it's all fun. The Tomahawk, Crossbow and Commando are fun to use, also it's easier to prestige so it actually feels doable to reprogress over and over. Some of the maps are awful but they are redeemed by Firing Range and Nuke Town, I hope they get more maps like those. I honestly would tell you to play whichever COD you wish but I think blkops might have more users simply because it's a newer edition.

as someone who played FPS all the time until sc2 (starting when halo pulled me off of bw around 2001) and someone who played both mw2 and BO at a rather high level I have to say BO is the better game because of the fact that the maps in MW2 were horrid and the fact that those damn 1887's weren't patched for wayyyyy to long and then when they were so many people only knew how to play like that that all they did was switch to akimbo rangers with marathon and commando (and w/e else they wanted usually ninja pro) that it made the game awful for people actually trying to play a FPS not some bs who sprints faster and knives quicker, and in terms of quick scoping...it was stupid, why use a sniper if you were going to fight at assault rifle distances? imo it ruined CoD when people figured this out and turned it into an elitist community of people who quick scoped and those who didn't were "noobs"...its like someone who 4 gates and transitions into mass dt's...doesn't make you good just because you win with it just makes people wonder what you were thinking...sorry...my hatred for CoD was renewed here..imo none of the CoD's since MW are even remotely good

I played a lot of Gamebattles games with my friends on both games and MW2 is definitely way more fun. Black Ops is just boring... the weapons aren't interesting, the maps aren't interesting, the perks aren't interesting; nothing about the game is super fun. When I get bored of playing regular in MW2, I do a pure knife build or quickscoping. 1v1's in that game are actually fun. Just the game is better... that's it.

Personally I prefer MW2 to Black ops because I feel the gameplay is better and I had a lot more fun playing it. The best call of duty game is Call of Duty 4 by far because the gameplay was amazing and it was really fun. I also think COD4 was better competitive wise than MW2 and BO.

MW2 was great just for the... well modern-ness of it. I cant stand the constant noob tubes and quickscoping. Other than that i dont have too much of a problem
I personally hate black ops multiplayer for the fucking killstreaks. Theyre all terrible. Cant stand the rc-xds. And how you seem to catch fire from napalm strikes 50 miles away

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the best of them,
World at War was terrible.
Modern Warfare 2 was an improvement on CoD4 but it didn't have the same feel as MW1.
Black ops is terrible, I played about 5 minutes of the campaign and did something wrong twice, and said screw it. The Multiplayer is Okay, but i get confused, am i in 1954 or is it modern day with guns that are just so old? I think Treyarch are just stuck in a world where they want everything to be WW2 style, but it's just not working.
I think you can see a trend that Infinity Ward knew the game much better than treyarch.
