is there even a comparison?

i played MW2 on the console for fucking months..

black ops on the computer (mind you 2 different consoles however im a PC gamer now) for maybe a month.. including zombies

now..

my brother still has MW2 and BO for the Xbox, and he will occasionally play MW2 with his friends when they're bored of BO, but i cant see them doing it with BO when the next COD comes out

Saying that MW2 was the best for quickscoping proves that you are a "newbie" to the CoD franchise. CoD2 was by far the best for quickscoping as in competitive games teams could only have 1 scope sniper.

Also quickscoping, in my opinion, is the downfall of the CoD community (just look at all the mini grizzes that have spawned).

Modern Warfare 1 was the best out of the three.

When I'm playing a shooter online I kind of want it to be about, y'know, guns. Not riot shields w/ akimbo old-style single-shot shotguns, throwing knives, knife-guns, crossbows, exploding land rovers, and the ability to say "Hey, guess what? I got a huge kill-streak, I'm just going to end the game and ruin everyone else's fun!"

I never played MW:1 but I have played MW:2 and Black Ops.

I hate Black Ops. It feels so much more clunky, cheesy, and bland compared to MW:2. I see a lot of people are complaining about balance in MW:2 but I never found that to be a problem. At least there weren't any cheesy RC cars with bombs strapped to them in MW:2. That's just an absurd addition to a war game.

Black Ops is the only game I've ever bought and thought almost immediately - "Fuck, I just wasted money."

sigh, BlOps and MW2 are both TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Good old CoD4 and CoD2, hell even the original was better. Perks and achievements everywhere are the fun today? Alright.

cod 1&2 for life. 4 was fine as well but got boooooooring quick at a competitive level (running around with the same single gun all game every game :S).

They just don't make fps like they used to

Big part is the lack of sidelocking guns, they can have 9 million different assault rifles but one or two are inevitably going to be the best and hence the only ones seeing any use above the "bronze" level.

Also not having bolt rifles just makes the games so monotone. + Show Spoiler +

"Let's just cut out all melee units from sc... we can add immortal#2 and two different types of roaches to make up for the losses"

I don't particularly like either of them. Reason being is that it's just more of the same. There's only so many times you can release something year after year after year after year before it gets monotonous, boring, and just a complete rip off.

But if I HAD to pick one it would easily be Black Ops. Modern Warfare 2 was more fun, but I'll be totally honest, it was more fun because of how completely fucking broken it was. It is still one of the worst online experiences I've ever had though. There are as many glitches and bugs as fingers on my hands. There are even more balance issues than that. And to make it worse still it was never fully patched. Instead it was released, 2 15 dollar map packs were thrown out for it, and then they said "Fuck it. We made our money." And yet people still buy this shit series up. It's just mind boggling.

ActiVi$ion did it with Guitar Hero, and they're doing it with CoD. The fad WILL die down eventually too. People are fickle. And most* console gamers, I hate to say it, are fickle idiots. I mean you kind of have to be when you drop 60 bucks year after year on the same damn thing. There was a time when there would be expansions, but now they're full releases. And don't say "single player" either. Nobody cares about the CoD single player. Battlefield Bad Company 2 has shown a good business model. Reward people for buying the game, and release a massive expansion pack. Done. No fucking around. No ripping people off.

In all honestly I'd rather play CoD4. Then I'd rather play with my own feces before touching any of the other ones after CoD4.

What, you are seriously comparing piss with shit. Cod2 was the peak and MW imported a whole bunch of 12 year olds. Now you end up with two games that are shitty since they copied a formula that MW started and did it to death. If you want a decent shooter look else where.

O_o I find quickscoping hard as fuck but maybe that's because I'm PC gamer.
E; Hitboxes suck hard and ping doesn't help either making it practically impossible to rely on your skill while you quickscope moving target.

And the very sad thing with MW2 was that deveolopers didn't care a shit about the game.
May be last time I trust these EA/Activision/IW shit companies.
