Long War is a pretty incredible mod. I think it improves upon virtually every single part of the game. If you played and enjoyed the base game, I think it's worth picking up Enemy Within and playing through that once just to play Long War. Only thing to keep in mind is that it does make the game quite a bit more difficult. I think as a rule of thumb they say that the easiest difficulty in Long War is equivalent to the second hardest Enemy Within difficulty setting.
Enemy Within is pretty great by itself anyway, I think it's worth it to pick it up just for that. The ability to add a mod like Long War is just a great bonus.

Long War is a great mod but it is too grindy after some point. A youtuber named marbozir is just finishing his impossible ironman long war playtrough and i should say, i got bored after watching 100 episodes.(he is finishing it around 240) Every episode is around 40 minutes so it takes quite a long time.

Yeah, it certainly doesn't joke around when it says Long War. There is a Second Wave option called Not-So-Long War that shortens the campaign quite a bit. I've been watching Marbozir's playthrough and it seems like the biggest bottleneck/grind-y part he's encountered was Elerium. For quite a while he's been spending the Elerium pretty much as fast as he could get it.

I thought it was decent, and it's one of the few games I have bought for PS3 outside of the Souls series . Some of the characters can be insufferable at times. If you can get beyond the first part of the game the remaining time you spend will feel much more satisfying. I've played through it twice, but it seems a lot of people find it dull or tedious. I recommend watching some let's plays to figure it out for yourself. Combat is the largest portion of the game and despite there being only 6 roles each character can play, there's quite a bit of interplay / coordination that can be achieved taking advantage of the AI.
As an example, here's a video of a guy making (what I would consider to be) the most challenging boss in the game look like his bitch just by intelligently working out how exactly to maximize his party's primary roles in combat, along with some cheap upgrades:
It's definitely a different beast from previous editions, XIII-2 takes it even further. Both can be fun if you let them be.
Yeah I bought it. Seriously the game is pretty good, but the characters are so irritating. Some of the dialogue, with their easy emotions, bored me to death and I ended up passing most cinematics. Really, they need to grow up, previous final fantasy were not that childlish...
I bought Lord of the Fallen at - 50 % or something and it's a good game but pretty pale in comparaison to dark souls.

If you are looking for online play it is much better to get supcom 1 and its expansion forged alliance. with forged alliance you can download a mod called "forged alliance forever" which is a pretty active community multiplayer (comparible to ICCUP). I put tons of hours in supcom 2 and I can tell you that in terms of multiplayer the game is near death with about 300 people online and 2 lobbies that you can enter at a time. I had alot of fun in the multiplayer of supcom 2 but forged alliance forever is much more active (and subcom 1 has alot more content and units).

depending on where you are from, you may get the censored version, which is totally uncool I also planned to get that, until I realized I am not getting the full package
Question: what is the 6th game on flash sale besides Dungeon Defenders, Grimrock, Gone Home, TDU2 and Sleeping Dog? "Unavailable in your region" sadness

I'm thinking about getting Dungeon Defenders but I saw that there's also a version called Dungeon Defenders Eternity which is labelled as "definitive version of the original tower defense action-RPG". From what I understand, it seems like a more "complete" version of DD1. Anyone knows if it's worth it or should I just buy the original? After looking at the community hub of both games, it seems like none is playing Eternity while there's nearly a thousand people playing the original.
Is Dragon Age: Inquisition worth buying right now at Origin's 30% current discount? I'm enjoying Origins and have heard that Inquisition's not quite as good but still decent. What's different between the two, gameplay wise?
Also, would I have to play DA2 beforehand as well? And is it like Mass Effect where you import one save into the next game?
I have too many RPGs right now and not enough time. Bought Trails in the Sky which I hear is very long, and I've still not played The Witcher 2.
Quick addition to the ff13 conversation, It's surprising how much better the characters get when you turn on the Japanese voices. The voice actors for certain characters really destroyed a lot of the intention of the writers in the English version.

Which one would you recommend?
DD1 was fun, but alöl the DLC and patches unbalanced the game. DDE was released and includes most gameplay DLC from DD1 and dedicated servers (DD1 is P2P).
But DDE was very quickly abandoned and now they work on DD2.
I think DD1 has slightly more fun gameplay compared to DDE, which was very strict with its balance and for example made jester or Summoner less unique. DDE has better online gameplay by far, though.
