My main question with FF13 is how good the PC port is. I'm generally pretty skeptical about PC ports of former console exclusives, but the Valkyria Chronicles PC port actually really surprised me.

Yeah, the Chars get better because you don't understand their terrible dialogues! LOL Seriously, anything after FF7/8 was terrible and should be avoided! :p

I'm enjoying Origins and have heard that Inquisition's not quite as good but still decent. What's different between the two, gameplay wise? Also, would I have to play DA2 beforehand as well? And is it like Mass Effect where you import one save into the next game? I have too many RPGs right now and not enough time. Bought Trails in the Sky which I hear is very long, and I've still not played The Witcher 2. I am playing the absolute shit out of DA:I right now (90+ hours). I'm loving it.
The gameplay is perhaps described as a fusion of DA:O and DA2; at lower difficulties (or if you're just over-leveled) it plays more like an action game, with the AI doing well enough with your party to let you just focus on one character. However, on higher difficulties and against harder enemies, you will probably want to play more tactically, pausing and issuing orders more frequently.
The other main changes are that there are no healing spells (just a set amount of healing pots you can carry and replenish) and the ability to set party tactics has been reduced. Neither of which has bothered me significantly.
I didn't play more than 20 minutes of DA2 (finished DA:O) and I haven't been lost between the stories so you should be fine. You can import saves, or just use the Keep:

Witcher 2 is better though ;P

If you have a gaming pad it's pretty good, altho the customisation are pretty limited.

The story could be better, but besides that its pretty good and i love the feeling of creating an alliance, capturing keeps, stting up camps and stuff, it does makes you feel you are in a real war

Anyone have any thoughts on The Evil Within since they released the 60FPS patch?

It's not that great a PC Port. Earlier this month it got an update that added more stuff than it had previously. Right now all the options are windowed mode or fullscreen, resolution (but only 1280x720 and 1920x1080, audio (Japanese or English), shadow resolution (512x512 up to 8192x8192), and Anti-aliasing (x2 up to x16). I put about 60 hours into it and never had it crash and only had framerate problems on some of the larger bosses. I played with mouse and keyboard the whole time and it played fine like that.

It was juts a Daily Deal a few days ago at -50%. At the end of the sale there's usually a big finale day where a lot of the Daily Deals come back, so it might be re-discounted.

Should I get Stick of Truth at this price? And is there any point to the DLC?

Stick of Truth is worth it at that price, as long as you like South Park. DLC gives you extra classes and stuff only(afaik), so not really.

Is Wasteland 2 worth the -25% or should I wait until it drops below a certain %age?
|
remember the steam sale guide.. if it's not a daily deal, community choice, or a rotating deal, the price has a possibility of dropping. If it's the last day and you haven't seen a drop, then you buy it.
Unless of course you are on break and won't have time outside of christmas/new years, then by all means go for it.

Just bought Democracy 3. the deal seem good and the game too
Did anyone tried it ?
