I liked it but it seems boring to go over twice, was wondering if the game is long and interesting enough (later on) to buy it. Get it, it gets a lot better when you get new powers and charms, the start its somewhat on the slow side

Hopefully Trainz will have a bit better model As someone who loves Euro Truck Simulator and can enjoy a couple of hours in Farming Simulator from time to time... holy shit is train sim bad. Maybe it's just me but the feeling of "Just play it and relax" that comes with a game like ETS2 never popped up. The scenery is bland in comparison, you basically change between 2-3 speed settings and that's it. Done.

I do feel it lacks a bit of depth, by that I mean for someone who is strong in that type of games it doesn't take long to "solve it" and afterwards you can only expand by doing more of the same and trying to balance it. It's still going to take 10-15h till you get bored of that most likely but just be aware that there is no real "endgame" compared to similar games.

It's literally the only strong city builder type of game that came out since Sim City 4, it is utterly beautiful, has great sound and it's fun to play. Once you got the basics down it has a similar feeling to some of the old (pre-4) Settlers games where you'd just zoom around and enjoy what's going on. Also on a personal note for me it's one of those cases where I think that while it's not perfect (and won't be till mod support is added) it's good enough that I want more from the dev. Since it's a one man show I'm glad if he gets rich enough from it to do develop whatever he wants to next.
