I'd recommend it as well. After around 15 hours, I'm still enjoying it and still failing

On a different note, Shovel Knight just came out, and it is awesome. Grab it if there's any sort of deal on it. It's basically Duck Tales + Megaman + Mario Bros 3.

I see that discussion has happened already. In my opinion EU4.Civ 5 Doesn't really get good without the addons, and even then it is still basically Civ. EU4 is kind of like TW map play, if the TW map game was actually good and not just a facade to make the battles matter. Lots of politicking, trying to maneuver your country into a beneficial war, then grabbing as much as you can without international ostracizement. Setting goals for yourself, and working on achieving them. Plus you play in actual history instead of Civ style fake history. You make real decisions constantly that matter, and changing the actual world map feels so much better than anything you can do in Civ. Meanwhile Civ is mostly "Build 4 cities, defend and win a science victory" or when playing on a lower difficulty level "conquer 1 guy, everyone hates you now, fight the rest of the world"

Rome Total War 2: %66 20.37$ Well, I love RTW 1 + BI . But I heard that the AI still sucks and some negative criticism. Any TW veterans? Does it worth? Banished: %50 10$ Is this game worth 10 bucks? What is this game like? Any advice?

Any TW veterans? Does it worth? Banished: %50 10$ Is this game worth 10 bucks? What is this game like? Any advice? Rome has its flaws with the AI which kind of breaks the difficulty levels because you can abuse siege battles so much that you win everytime. It's fun though especially in the beginning when its still difficult, there are a huge amount of factions, there's no unified Gaul or Germania but a lot of different tribes. I really like it and battles are quite fun and diversified. Unfortunately a lot of settlements have the exact same layout so in the end game it gets pretty boring and it doesnt matter if you fight for that desert town or that british town, there are maybe 5 different layouts in the game. If you're a fan of TW i would get it but you have to realize that there are some huge flaws. I enjoyed it more than Shogun 2 defintely because of so many different factions, units and sceneries. I got like 150 hours on that game. Banished is fun too but difficult. Similar to Dawn of Discovery but with less complexity so to speak but if you get out of balance only once (!) 90% of your population dies. So you can spend some time to figure out how to do it properly and how to not run into any shortages of food or whatever and its fun. Then you can try a big map and when you filled the entire map you're city will probably collapse again. Thats when i stopped after 20 hours. I guess you can still go on and try to make it work with a lot of trade so you can keep the balance somehow but i wasnt successful to make it work. I would say its impossible to correct it when you run into a shortage of food or tools. You can fight a while against it but you can probably start a new game, i guess that would go faster and cleaner^^

I see that discussion has happened already. It depends on how confident you are that you are willing to learn how to play the game, EU4 is pretty rough to learn at first. It's extremely fun when you know how to play it though, and the replay value is enormous since you can as pretty much any country from history and develop from there and there's a ton of different ways to play. It's basically a really nice massive "what-if" engine for history. What if England never colonized america and instead tried to conquer Europe? What if the holy roman empire united under one country instead of breaking up? What if byzantium wrecked the ottomans and became a big empire again? There's tons of fun things to play out and there aren't all that many limits in EU4, as long as you can play it well enough.
