CoH2 was $60 a year ago. today its $10. their "digital collector's edition" was $100 a year ago. today its $20.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/231430/
its got its flaws, but the game has a small loyal community.,, and the RTS genre could use reasonable competitor to SC2.
also, the expansion has 2 more armies and is $20..
on initial release it was 2 armies and 1 match up.. for $60.... ouch.
now its 4 armies and 4 matchups ( no mirror games on ladder) $30... more reasonable.

Picked up Dark Souls.
Impossible to play without a controller.
Bad purchase by me since I'm not willing to splash out cash for a controller just for 1 game.

I have a controller and hate to play darksouls with it. It took me some tinkering but I love playing darksouls with mouse and keyboard. The only thing thats really required is the mouse fix thingi so you don´t see the mouse cursor and I also made the hud smaller. (The mods are called DSfix and dsmfix)

Is endless space any good?

Also if the latest version of dsfix fucks up ur fps, try an older version. (Just got my self dark souls and had this happen ^^). First time i payed dark souls (pirated version) i used mouse and keyboard and I still loved it. Actually was dumbfounded by how awesome it was, I realized it was not the rpg genre that was boring, I just had not played a good one till then. Now I'm playing dark souls again I rly miss that inter connectivity of the area's in the game (not rly present in DaS2).

KSP is on sale again. And with 64-Bit Windows Support coming up, now is the perfect time to grab the game and realize that eventually (edit: when building complex, large ships) you'll be counting seconds per frames rather than FPS

It's gonna get that slow for some reason? Why? I don't get what ur saying at all, but ill check out what the game is ^^

Is anyone else waiting another 4 months to get all this 'expensive' stuff in a firesale?

I kind of liked it, the empire building is great, the tech tree as well, the races are cool with their own very different perks and the game speed/pacing is fine.
The only letdown is the fights, where all you get to do is choose three strategies for each part of the fight (long-range, mid-range, melee) the rest is just a cinematic battle - which looks awesome - but I would have much preferred a Master of Orion style tactical combat.

MEtro is pretty good so far. worth it ! Which one ? 2033 is an odd game. It's bad but you like it and you don't even know why. That's called a good universe i guess. Need to finish it. It's pretty hard later on. Fallout 3 is.... best game ever. You seem to love post-apocalyptic stuff. What's your go to games ? Its Metro Last Light that I bought.
Go to is definitely the Fallout series. they are all good (expect you tactic.. you suck).

Hey guys, so i bought CoH2 when it 1st came out, only put a handful of hours into it. Seeing as how there's the new expansions and and a lot of addons, can i even play multiplayer with the vanilla game? As in, will i need to purchase the new expansions to be able to find games and/or will i be at a disadvantage without the addons/expansions? Dont really feel like shelling out 20$ for the new expo, when i could spend that money on say, Endless Space, which also looks interesting to me. Thanks.

Fallout games are all great, but New Vegas felt a lot closer like an actual Fallout game, Fallout 3 was an amazing game, but it was really lackluster as a fallout game i liked NV more
About Metro ? i loved both games (so much i actually bought the books lol), Last Light its deffinetely better, but theres something in 2033 that would actually put it higher than Last Light

Western fronts just allows you to play the new races. If you play soviets or Wehrmacht it has no impact.

So essentially, it wont be any harder, or take any longer find matches is what your saying? Now to decide if I actually wanna bother getting my ass raped online or not lol.

if you don't want to spend any more cash, you can keep playing on the ladder without a problem. if u pick Russia/Soviets you could face 1 of 2 different german armies ( the original that you can play and the new expansion pack german army that you can not play).
if you pick Germans you could end up facing either Russia or USA/Western Allies.
so you get 1 additional match up and this will add some variety to your play.
HOWEVER, you can never control these 2 armies , so getting familiar with their tactics will be tough.
Also, they added a whole whack of "DLC units" to the base game that you bought. you won't have access to that either.
you'll be laddering with 1 arm tied behind your back. if you're super-casual you probably don't care. if you are any kind of serious about it then it pretty much ruins the whole "competitive RTS experience..imo.
Relic is really milking its best fans for every dime... and it is damaging the scene to some extent.
Whenever, CoH2 is not on sale ( and in the past 6 months its been on sale ... A LOT ) there are almost as many people playing CoH1 as CoH2 when you take into account the alternative servers.

So happy about being able to pick Kerbal Space Programme for a reasonable price <3 Also DS2 and Banner Saga as the cherry on top.

Damn, thats a tough sell then, i already picture myself getting raped enough as a newcomer, but if others might have access to more shit than me, because they spent more money, thats kind of a turn off....Decisions decisions!

I wouldn't take an opinion from the guy who has been hating on this game since months before it was even released personally.
