EDIT: anyone here recommend the BL2 DLCs? I played through BL2, although never finished the 2nd playthrough. I just didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first one.

Are the two HL2 episodes worth the extra money and the fact that the HL1 isn't "Source" in the HL bundle? Or should I just get the HLS and HL2, and not miss much in any of the expansions? The Episodes are basically the sequels. Each shorter than the main HL2 but still the continuation of the story, so when (if?!) HL3 is released, you're going to want the Episodes anyway. Blueshift and Opposing Forces aren't really worth it, IMO. Still good games if you get them as in a bundle, though.

Actually the expansions of HL2 are quite fun to play also, I would recomend. Both of them starts where the last one ended so if you want to follow up the whole story line before episode 3 or HL3 comes out you should play both of them .

There are are few of the obnoxious "Press X not to die" moments, but I think there's actually less of them than in the other Tomb Raider games from Crystal Dynamics. Edit: Plus, from what I remember, most of the time the QTE notification felt superfluous, except for one sequence at the beginning.

I can live with Quick Kills since I just ignore them and go about killing stuff in other ways. The forced timings is what I dislike. Heck ME3 is another game with way too much of things like that in conversations. If you have 30 hours of conversations/cinematic scenes and throw in random button presses here and there it no longer is a relaxing game. Edit, Especially when they give large bonuses in extra scenes.

Edit, Especially when they give large bonuses in extra scenes. Well, from what I remember, most of the QTEs flowed fairly well. There was one sequence in the beginning that annoyed me, but that was about it. Most of the others I was going for the command already, like...ground is falling, so jump. Or I'm jumping at a climbable wall, so press the pick-axe button. I think there were also a couple slow-mo shoot sequences where you couldn't miss, and only one boss where you had some required inputs.

Which was one of the main points to as of why I felt that the gameplay aspect of the game could have been more polished

The first hour ia basically only qte but after that it gets better and after ~2-3 hours there are almost no qtes at all anymore (except the "you are falling, press e to save yourself" and a few fights)

In reality there are always 1-2 teams that dominate, and one team that has no chance. Well. Smart people are only gonna turn in badges if their team is winning. Which means that as soon as one team starts winning, more badges for them, and less for everyone else.
