It's hard to decide what to get! So far, I have only picked up The Binding of Issac and Darksiders. I wish I picked up Hotline Miami yesterday when it was even cheaper!
All the games usually come back really cheap at the end of the sales, so don'"t worry, you'll be able to pick it up.

I've used XP and VX a lot previously, and I bought VX Ace about half a year ago. Yes, it's well worth the price if you enjoy this sort of thing. It's a lot more customizable than regular VX, and I've gotten a lot of good work out of it.
Edit: While i'm here - Stardrive's for sale, and I'm still tempted. You guys who have tried it for a while now - is it worth getting, or does it lose its charm quickly?
Stardrive lost its charm for me pretty fast. The research is extremely limit. The ship builder is cute tho and nice to play around with.
I also found that stardrive got pretty old after about 12 hours played.

I don't think it's so much "good", more that you will laugh your ass off until you're crying at how badly you're mutilating some poor patent.
Thinking on it, this has got to be one of the best party games to have been made in a while. Can you imagine all the stories that can be made from this? hehehe

haha nice find on the poem! Yeah - I cannot recommend FTL enough!!
Also, it seems to me that most $ prices are actually LESS than 1:1... Not sure what's up with that.
All of my Summer Sale cards are only worth like $0.25 Like two days ago the Dead Island Riptide card was worth $2, now it's down to $0.27. I'm missing all the opportunities to make some extra cash!
I got 3 cards. I sold a torchlight one for $2, but other 2 were junk. Sold a skyrim one for 30 cents and a chivalry one for 25 cents. After steam's 30% got $2.24 in my steam wallet! wooo!

I bet you can make a lot more if you hoard them. They'll be discontinued after the event so they should become more valuable.
Wtf is this...so I live in NZ, I remember I bought LA Noire for $5 USD a few months back, but atm it's going for $25 USD!! With an original price of $50 USD!!! WTF?? Did they put the price back up to a new-game price or something?

Lists it at $20 full, and 50% off currently for $10, at least for an american
EDIT: And FTL is seriously fun. For some reason I haven't liked many games recently, but FTL is a blast so far.

It really depends how much you enjoy building ships modularly. you can use the standard loadouts and play the game just fine, but i easily spent 95% of my time "playing" the game, just sitting in the ship editor crafting optimized ships for different races at every tech level. the game itself is decent, but I haven't picked it back up after binging on it rather hard for a week or two if that says anything about it. Once you get bored of using the editor to build better ships, the game does lose a lot of its "charm"
The current planet combat/invasion/capture mechanic is tedious, overpowered, and stupid. And the cybernetic perk is overpowered and I can't get myself to play without it.
The game does support mods, and has a somewhat active modding community at the moment, which is encouraging. some of the mods add a lot of good content in terms of tech tree expansions(after 2-3 games of vanilla, it's refreshing to have a much deeper tech tree), but the inability to use several mods at once is a downer.

But in the US I can nearly buy both games for 17. But yeah I guess you're right.
