Most likely because DS was on sale for the exact same price on day 1, lol.
Don't remember if it was a flash deal or daily deal.

Can't start the game because Uplay won't connect. >_> Tsk tsk, unlucky you. It's so damn good. :D Btw, selling cards? I didn't know that is possible. Got it to work, I only needed to fiddle with my hosts file and complete a lengthy install and register process. Steam made me forget how tedious installing PC games was in the past, and still is, if the Ubisoft installer is anything to go by. First everything updates, then the game starts, prompting for a key. Once entered...the game closes. Because it didn't update enough before. o_O Good good, enjoy. It's games are lengthy but fun!

Just bought Borderlands 2. Should I buy the Season Pass now or is there enough content that I won't need to buy it now and can probably catch it the next time it goes on sale? Also, I can get cards from playing, correct? So if I played DotA, TF2, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Inf., BL2 and other games, I can get cards and sell those? Anyone have an estimate of how many cards/how much you made from them?
|
I've sold 5 various cards and if I've calculated correctly, I've earned 1.71 euro #swag

i was able to buy The Witcher 2, thanks to selling my trading cards haha, love it.

With f2p games such as dota2 and tf2 you need to have spent atleast 10 USD (for dota2 atleast) to earn cards by simply playing.

I wouldn't say the Season Pass is worth it. Unless you are really hardcore into BL2. I would say the first Pirate DLC and the last Tiny Tina DLC is worth it. And maybe the Ultimate Vault Hunter DLC (NG++ Mode with 11 new Levels and Items).

The cards actually paid for my BL2 season pass ;P Got it while it was on sale for 10 bucks and I got two summer sale foils and another foil while playing the game, sold each for about 3 bucks, pretty happy lol

First time being in steam sale! So someone basically told me the best sales are Daily Deals, Flash Sales and Community choice and they are all equal (meaning Valve won't make a better deal at a later time). Can anyone confirm or deny this claim?

Based on experience, this is true. Of course Valve could change their policy any time
If it's not on daily deal, flash sale or community choice, wait until the last day of the sale. Even if you missed something there's a high chance it will be back as one of the other kind of deals.

I can back this up. I'm not really into single player games, but the game wasn't too long and the story was really amazing so it got me hooked to play from start to finish in a week. I'm actually going to consider buying it because my original playthrough was on an Xbox 360.
What do you guys think about the game Bully? I watched my friend play it a long time ago on console, and it looked pretty fun. Is it an overall good game, and does it run well on PC? (I heard a lot of Rockstar games are very buggy on PC)

I actually finished that game, and the whole QTE thing is really rare past the first hour of gameplay.

In case it comes on sale again, Bully: Scholarship Edition was a fantastic quick buy for 2 bucks. It plays like the old Rockstar games (Vice City/San Andreas) with lots of stupid random shit. Might as well call it American Highschool: The Game. =D

Bough FTL today expecting nothing. Started the game, browsed through the turorial, thought it might be shit.
Then I played the actual game and I had tons of fun. Game design is superb a lot of those "just one more sector" things that made some games totally awesome (D2: just one more mephisto run, anyone??!). I am so glad I bought that game for 2,5. Sick!
