Deus Ex came out in 2000. Doesn't quite fit his "last 10 years" criteria.

Dunno if I'm ready to shell out $25+ though If you've played one Anno game you've pretty much played them all. They're beautiful and fun until they hit that point where you need a bunch of resources then it just becomes tedious. There's no real challenge to them unfortunately, or significant decision making

i would play them more if only they would tell me how many goods i produce per minutes and how many my settlers consume. you always have to guess in these games.

It's a city builder. You build cities, expand trade routes and resources, and fight indirect warfare (naval/air shit) Oh and build underwater cities. Bitches love underwater cities. There are no win conditions really. There are missions to do every day and there is a campaign where you do certain shit, but yeah. It's a city builder.

Very satisfied with the buy, assuming the quality doesn't drop as I continue.

But its hard to play right now with that graphics/voice-over etc. Games like KotOR and MAFIA have more acceptable graphics.

But yeah, I've played through the original DX 3 times it's definitely one of the best games ever made. System Shock 2 should be looked into for anyone that liked Deus Ex, it also has a lot of graphics mods though they can be a pain in the ass to get working.

So far I've bought Xcom.. 2.50 Terraria... 2.50 Crusader Kings II CE (for my pa) 12.50 Binding of Isaac.. 2.50 Alan Wake CE.. 12.50 And that's only in two days. Ruh roh. Still I bought Diablo 3 for 69 bucks (after tax) and didn't even finish it so I don't feel too bad about this.

So your city continues from the last time you play, you don't start over each game like SC2? well, multiplayer is basically like a really loooooooong starcraft match with less micro and a million times more complex base building. The anno 2070 campaign is more like a tutorial, the real game are the scenarios and the freeplay. Yes, you start over every map, but there is this big baseship that you have that stays with each map, it can transfer over wares and its upgrade that can affect about everything. (if you ever play anno 2070 mulitplayer, turn the baseship OFF) it is a good city builder game, but lack of opponents means that you will win every map you start eventually. No challenge for me.

So your city continues from the last time you play, you don't start over each game like SC2? The gameplay is basically the same for both. However you get missions for singleplayer only I believe. There's a new multiplayer mode that's currently in beta testing that puts like 5 players against each other and they each have to do increasingly difficult missions and objectives (co-op or solo) and whoever has the most points at the end wins. The kicker is not everyone has be playing at the same time, and the progress is saved and transferred to everyone else whenever a session is finished. It looks pretty nifty. And yeah. It's not an RTS with matches. You are building cities and shit. When you start a new game you can bring your old ark and some of your old tech and shit too. You can save the progress of your city in continuous game and there's a campaign mode too, as I said. As above said, there's little challenge (however that might change with the aforementioned Conquest Mode in beta testing) but the fun comes from people like me who enjoy building and doing scenarios and shit.

It's an obvious choice for a daily I think.

4 hours into Saints Row I would definitely recommend it if it pops up on sale again.
