At one point in Dead Space 2 + Show Spoiler + you have to fight your way through 3 levels of enemies, where the first 2 levels spawn SO MANY NECROS and then the 3rd level has a brute waiting for you... I had to retry this probably 12 times because I kept running out of ammo and there weren't enough limbs to use as kinetic weapons. When I finally ended up beating it I had 0 plasma rifle ammo and only 1 shot left on my plasma cutter ;; Also, the boss battle at the end of DS2 was a huge pain in ass. + Show Spoiler + Nicole ALWAYS teleports in front of you then instakills you since you're focused on dodging half invisible shadow packs. Once I got my juking down it was ok, but still felt pretty cheap. I've noticed that a lot of the people who are calling this game too easy are playing it on the PC. I really do feel like the game's difficulty is tuned for the consoles. It's just more difficult to aim with a controller, so you end up missing some shots, which means you have less ammo overall and then the game feels harder.

Kinesis was fun though and hanging a necromorph to a wall with a shelf spike didn't get old. The story was cheesy, but it did it's job and kept you right in the limb slicing. And before you are saying "do it on zealot and it will be scary", I did. Only thing which sucked was the low amount of limb slicing because of the lack of ammo. :[

I mean, I'm a pretty hardcore gamer, and the survivalist was pretty doable, I just didn't thought it was more fun.

i'll admit i wasn't terrified(least after the first couple chapters and I felt comfortable again, somewhat) or anything but i did have tension the entire game just like the first game. the sound/music/graphics/guns/enemies, everything fit so perfectly. cant wait for #3 ![]()

I prefer the PS3 controls over the PC controls because of how the camera works. In the PC version, you can spin the camera around and look at 360 Degrees. In the PS3 version, Isaac's back never leaves the bottom left corner of the screen - like those first person shooters...in third person...and shifted to the left. lol. This means that, to turn around to shoot, Isaac would have to stomp in a circle before he could look at what's behind him.

If he hasn't played the first game, there's no reason not to try at its not reduced price. If he has played the first game, he should pretty much know what to expect. It's on him to decide then.
