It wasn't a moral choice at all. Ulfric Pros: "Skyrim belongs to the noorrrrrds" times infinity so they do seem like they want their soveignty back. Cons: The high elves will show up and kill, subjugate and enslave everyone if the Imperials are overthrown and Skyrim will be way worse off than it was before Imperials Pros: Try to keep irrationally evil high elves from wanton murder, pretty much leave the governance of Skyrim in the hands of the Nords, aren't actively trying to exterminate or enslave anybody Cons: They aren't Nords. Maybe I overthought that but the intro to the game makes you see Ulfric as a fair dude thats struggling against an evil invading empire but as it turns out he's just a pissy coward that wants power. Why would you help him, other than the odd chance that you're roleplaying as a dickhead.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286 I have like 50 installed but this is by far the best one. It tweaks so many things, adds some new perks like wayfarer with all kinds of traveling/exploring things. All kind of Imbalanced things like enchanting potions etc are tweaked a lot. It finishes the game really. So much more fun with this mod. Other great ones: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/top/ Also, if you never installed mods download and install the mod manager, button on top of these pages. It makes installing/deinstalling automatic and takes care of mod load orders etc edit: Ah sorry, just saw skyre being discussed in this thread already. I should read first, post later. Next time I guess ![]()

Unofficial Skyrim Patch - An essential mod that fixes several bugs that Bethesda has not fixed yet. Even if you don't like using mods, you really should get this one. SkyUI - Skyrim has been heavily criticized for having a consolized user interface. This makes the UI much more PC-friendly. Skyrim Redone - As many others have said, this mod changes several aspects of Skyrim, too many to mention here. These changes make Skyrim a much better game in my opinion. Community Uncapper - Allows your skills to grow past level 100. I use this because it's highly recommended if you're using Skyrim Redone. Skyrim Monster Mod - Adds over 100 new creatures to the game. It's important to me to have a large bestiary, which keeps the game from having repetitive encounters. Alternate Start - Live Another Life - Allows you to start the game in various different ways. This is nice for role-playing but I use this just so I don't have to go through the lengthy intro movie. Really nice if you're restarting a lot. In my next playthrough, I may add the following two mods: Deadly Dragons - Makes dragons much more dangerous. Now, they will be a force to be reckoned with, and you can expect every dragon encounter to be epic. Apocalypse Spell Package - Adds many more spells to the game. I would like to expand the spell variety in Skyrim, and Skyrim Redone recommends this spell package. Three more things you should use when modding: Skyrim Script Extender - Required for many mods, including some on this list. Wrye Bash - My mod manager tool. Some people use the Steam Workshop, others use the Nexus Mod Manager, I prefer Wrye Bash because it's the most powerful manager of the 3. The serious modder will probably be using this mod manager (but you should still use it even if you're not a serious modder). BOSS - Automatically sorts your mods into the correct loading order and can point out possible conflicts between mods. A very useful tool.

Dawnguard spoiler, problem description: + Show Spoiler + I got to Serana's home, but she didn't appear, even after waiting. So I manually did setstage quest 0 to redo the quest, which worked fine. I talked to her father and he banished me, porting me near the boat outside of the mansion. I suppose this is where the follow-up quest is supposed to start. However, it didn't, and Isran is nowhere to be found in the castle. Manually porting him to me won't give me any new speech options. So what I want to do now is forcefully start the next quest (for joining the Dawnguard faction). Or is there another solution? edit: found isran but he doesn't have any special dialogue. I know there is supposed to be an attack happening when I return to Castle Dawnguard, but it didn't happen. Is there maybe a way to trigger events on a certain location?

As with Dawnguard, the Xbox 360 enjoys one month of exclusivity for Hearthfire. Gamers on the PC and PlayStation 3 must wait at least that long until Hearthfire is available on their respective systems.

And I doubt the elves would have an easy time taking Skyrim. It's a nation that was founded by kicking the native elves off the land and driving them underground. Plus they'd be up against the Dragonborn. And the last Dragonborn kicked their asses pretty well.

Well, the loyalty of the Dragonborn is questionable, since the Dovahkiin can be a selfish vampire assassin lord killing as he pleases with none to stop him/her. Or a pacifist, for that matter. Or an Imperial.

With this plugin, players will be able to construct their own houses on plots of land purchased in Morthal, Falkreath, and Dawnstar. Do want a Dawnstar house, that place is awesome ^^ No idea what Morthal and Falkreath even are, don't think I've been there yet. ![]()

It's so damn high, even after so many changes in the .ini and in-game. Also, windowed mode keeps bringing bsack the windows cursor, distracting as poop T_T

If you're playing without any mods that alter the sneak system, then enough investment into Sneaking will allow you to just creep around in the middle of the day three feet from dozens of bandits while wearing Daedric plate armor and shit, and you'd avoid detection. Once you get to around level 50 or so in Sneak and/or choose relevant perks, the type of armor you wear becomes almost meaningless when it comes to calculating detection chance. In fact, there should be perks in the armor trees that let you move silently with that respective armor, and the Sneak tree itself should have a global 50% reduction to noise. Really, if you're not stupid, no one's going to catch you. On the other hand, if you're using something like SkyRe which overhauls the sneak system, then you'd best tread lightly (no pun intended). I find that even with SkyRe, sneaking can be too powerful, but you're definitely not going to be able to waltz through a crypt or dungeon without notice. Due to the nature of mods not being uniform, you might find one that has a feature another doesn't have, so your mileage may vary. Generally speaking, however, sneaking isn't going to be pseudo-invisibilty outside of vanilla Skyrim. Things like the foe's field of vision, your carry weight, your armor, your sneaking speed (normal or "walking" speed), allocated perks, the awareness of the foe (sleeping, on casual patrol, in combat, on high alert, etc.), and our good friend the RNG will all factor into whether or not you can successfully avoid detection. TL;DR: Vanilla = invisible with any decent amount of investment into the Sneak tree, and modded gameplay is generally much harder to pull off, but still powerful and useful if you watch your step.
