You probably already have it under your misc quests. Anybody mentioning the college gives it to you I think.

Wow mystic binding is an overpowered perk haha. I've been playing a mage without conjuration for a while, already lvl 52, but I started a new character and looked up what mystic binding does (its a conjuration talent that requires novice conjuration and 20 conjuration skill to get). It improves conjured weapons from steel quality to daedric quality. 20 conjuration for daedric weapons? Really? xD

Guess if you plan to go through the whole game without ever touching Smithing, this is the talent for you.
Edit: Does Elemental Fury work with Bound weapons?

Kinda doubt it, it doesn't work with enchanted weapons so it seems like bound weapons wouldn't be eligible?
reminds me: What is the difference between levels of clear skies? the higher levels have longer cooldowns so there must be some, right?

No fury for bound weapons, but once again time slow shout pretty much does the same thing (except it slows things around you).
I think higher levels of clear skies "last longer" - as we originally obtain the shout to gain access to the peak.

For now, the general idea is to sneak into range of a group of enemies, cast Fury on one of those enemies and them watch them all fight each other... rinse and repeat until only one is left, and then use either Fear or Calm on that enemy to leave them vulnerable enough for an easy kill.
Has anyone else tried this style? I've only cleared a couple of dungeons so far (the mine on the way to Riverwood and the bandit hideout near Whiterun) and it's worked to hilarious effect in those two dungeons - I found it really funny that the Fear spell made it so that I could beat the bandit at the top of that hideout (he is a named character, I forget his name) without him even trying to hit me! The only worry I have is that it is going to be a weak style against enemies like wolves and bears that seem to be able to detect you from miles away...
Since my other character is a fairly righteous Nord, I decided that I'd make this character a much less righteous Dark Elf (hence the sneakiness). I'm not gonna touch the main quest-line with this character for quite some time - Instead, I'm gonna be hitting the Mage Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests as main priorities and, by way of RP, I'm gonna be ignoring any type of quest that involves randomly helping people... although I'm almost certainly aiming for as many Daedric quests as possible. Should be fun!
Skip alteration: you should not be taking any damage. Your best weapon is not fury but calm imo. You can calm a group of enemies then proceed to backstab them all. Get started on dark brotherhood asap as they have the double backstab dmg gloves and also a cowl (you have to take it from a shelf there) that grants you sneak bonus.

How does that work? If you get the urge to play you will just install it again right? . At least, that's how my mental stability would be...

Yeah, I'm doing something similar and calm is really effective (except I don't allow myself to use weapons or destruction magic ... yeah its interesting lol). I suggest picking up the animage perk and the perk that increases the level calm is effective on asap. That way if you run into those sabre cats and bears out in the wild you can calm them (assuming you're still a low level where they can wreck your day). Using calm to repeatedly sneak attack (if necessary) the same enemies allows is very effective.

Another tip: you can use arrows to distract enemies, or pop out those dwarven sentry robots.

EDIT:
Come to think of it, getting some summoned allies might not be a bad idea. Throw them into the mix once all the enemies are fighting each other and laugh from the shadows at their failure to do anything about it! Hehehe...
So that'd be Sneak, Illusion, Alteration, Conjuration and One-Handed Weapons..? Probably won't need One-Handed Weapons if I go down that route - more of a last resort than anything else. I decided to play Khajit with a similar mindset except I use Archery instead of Alteration. And was planning to stop using Sneak when I get access to Invisibility.
Calm is awesome, once you calm them, just sneak behind them and wait until you become Hidden and attack. Calm them again if they survive.
BTW, am I the only person that is bothered by killing female bandits in this game due to all of them being young and beautiful? :D Damn you Betsheda!! :D

I've been thinking of making a class with conjuration/one-handed/heavy-armor where I would go dual wield bound swords and use elemental fury all the time

How come Dwarven items need less smithing to make but dwarven weapons do more damage then orcish ones?

Maybe because you have to explore Dwarven ruins to get a decent amount of scrap metal? Pretty sure I crafted most of my orcish stuff by just buying ore from the blacksmith I happened to be at.

good news for PS3 skyrim players: patch 2.01 was released, and although it didnt include an official change log, it fixed the lag issue caused by a to large save file :D

My best solution for mages was to res pot up, force the opponent mage to come near(by using line of sight) or sneak attack them.
or if your conjuration is high enough, summon something to tank (or even kill) the mages for you.
Bah! Bears!
I am a lvl 17 sneak archer wood elf and when I see one, I get down from Shadowmere and she tanks it while I shoot it.
Easy as pie!

Sneak bonus from cowl gets useless quickly since with sneak eprks, they wont find you even if your right in front of them. The good one is the muffle boots but theres a perk that does the same thing which you must get to get the good master sneak perk so it becomes useless too.
I would instead recommend items to increase the base damage output
I agree on the alteration comment but illusion is meh for quite some time.
Personally, I would begin with archery sneaks early and switch to one handed once you attain the 15.0x damage perk from tree.

I'm lvl 54 on Master and Shadowmere start to be oneshotted quite often. I rez her with the console because i don't want to lose her, but the feeling of unkillable horse has long fallen.

You guys try cool stuff, which is why I'm going to have to try a new character eventually. I just went for one handed + heavy armor and I never do anything cool, lol
