I'm looking to craft the Invoc Skeletton Dragon tome at the moment, not easy to do. :d Here a list of what the mod add ; + Show Spoiler + .:What it does at the moment.:.
- Arrows -
.Adds Iron\Steel\Elven\Dwarven\Glass\Orcish\Ebony\Nord\Falmer\Daedric Arrows (Fire, Frost
and Shock version of all the arrows) to the game.
.Adds Iron\Steel\Elven\Dwarven\Glass\Orcish\Ebony\Nord\Falmer\Daedric Arrows (Fire, Frost
and Shock version of all the arrows) to the crafting list. You can find those under the
respective Category, using the forge.
- Armors -
.Adds many steel infused armors. These are armors that are made of different kinds of
metals (like daedric, dwarven metal etc.) but are forged to resemble the Steel plate armor. Currently you can infuse: Daedric, Dwarven and Orcish. More to come in the next releases.
.Adds Holy Daedric armor set. These are piece of armors made of daedric hearts and purified
using the Holy Dust. This purges the evil from the daedric armors.
.Adds Blood dragonplate armor set. These are pieces made of Dragon blood. Nasty!
.Adds a Golden Ebony armor set.
- Spells -
.Adds many conjuration spells: Conjure Spectral Bear\Sabretooth\Troll\Mammoth, Conjure
Skeleton Archer\Mage\Warrior, Conjure Undead Dragon.
.Adds some Polymorph spells: Polymorph: Chicken\Rabbit\Mudcrab\Dremora.
.Adds Power Spells (racial abilities). Craftable through Power Tomes, but not so easy to do
so.
.Adds two Power Spells: Spriggan's Whisper and Karliah's Secret.
.All the spells (including the new ones) have their tome craftable in the Tanning Rack.
This requires some objects like Scrolls of said Spell and a Blank Spell Tome.
- Ingredients -
.Adds many ingredients to the game.
.Here's a list: Thunder Salts, Titanium Dust, Diamond Dust, Emerald Dust, Sapphire Dust,
Amethyst Dust, Garnet Dust, Meteorite Dust, Dragon Saliva, Dragon Meat, Dragon Eye, Coffe
Bean, Brewed Coffee, DragonHeart, Holy Dust, Dragon Brain.
- Weapons -
.TWOHANDED DUAL WIELD! wat! Yes, Tytanis improve the Warmaster Perk (100 Twohanded) to let
you dual wield Twohanded weapons. You need a specific version of the twohanded weapon you
want to use: a Warmaster weapon. You can craft these with the forge, if you have the
ability to craft said weapon and have the Warmaster perk.
.Many, many weapons added to the game. Some examples are: Holy Daedric Weapons, Dragonbone
Weapons and Warmaster's weapons!
Could you or anyone else with the mod comment on the overall quality? Does it have any issues or interfere with already saved games? It sounds amazing so far, subtle touches that add very much content and fun to things like the professions, etc. Will totally have to try it. More just making sure I can toggle it on and off without totally ruining any saves (yes items from it will go away of course but I just dont want to corrupt anything, nor have to start fresh! But perhaps I will anyway)
I'm barely starting looking at it ingame, and since i'm playing a Mage for the moment i'm not going to try all the armor stuff, but so far it's pretty fun to go everywhere to find reagents for the new spells. ( God i want that skelleton dragon invoc lol ) The only problem i had was a conflict with a mod which was removing the enchant on the shrouded robe ( because you can craft the robe with the tanning rack with the mod )

I still wanna know the story as to why Esbern is so fucking broken.
One moment he is clearly the celebrity they paid to do the voice.
Next moment it sounds like Jay Leno is making fun of the guy playing Esbern.
It is so..... jarring.

yeah... but so far that is the only case of voice changing i have encountered. was confusing as shit though ^^
and thieves guild is bugged for me. i got the audio for "go se maven" but no quest and maven won't tell me whats up

Ulfric Stormcloak, as well as being just an overall awful voice actor behind him, also has a few points where they had some guy stand in. The most obvious point is when he gives his speech the first time you walk into the place.
There are a lot of misqueues as well. But those are somewhat understandable.
Why one of the most "main" characters to the entire plot is so, broken, is beyond me, seems very lazy.

well, the game is still better than 90% of crap out there xD (one can still give constructive criticism)

well you'll only need console commands when you are stuck somewhere, and even then there are so many things you can do. for mods i maybe this threa can help you http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=285686 but i did not look into mods at all so far.

Can't wait for KoA. On a major RPG kick cuz of this shit lol. Might actually play some modded morrowind after I get done with this.

Shit, anyone do the wooden mask thing? Apparently you're suppose to collect all 8 masks, but I threw all the ones I didn't like out D:

Yeah, I missed it. Is there a quest that is suppose to activate or are we just to know to collect 8 stupid masks from dead archmages?

One of the loading screens they show you a million times has all the 8 masks on an altar or something so I took that as a fairly obvious hint and kept them all.

Fuck
lol.
I guess I'll jsut console command each of the masks, but I gotta first find out which I already ahve and which I dont. I literally just dumped them around the world when my sack got too heavy. How do you get a house in solitude? I have so much shit on me ):

The most useful console command by far is player.modav carryweight (insert large number here) for all you kleptos and hoarders~

Yeah that's why you max out alchemy, destruction and enchanting; Make destruction skills cost zero (And dump all points into stanima so I can carry MOAR- enchant a daedric sword to do 120 fire 110 frost damage and use it for the lulz while using a minion to carry your shit. That's what I do and it is l e g i t
I don't even know what's considered cheating in Skyrim. Avoiding encumbrance with console.. yeah that's definitely breaking the rules of the vanilla game but so is what I do and I didn't use the console to do it.
Skyrim is a beautiful, wonderous game with so many things to discover. Unfortunately one of the easiest things to find is how quickly different combinations make the game unbearably easy on any difficulty. Props to Torenhire for playing with 2H weapons and no crafting. That takes some work.
It's made me want to play Fallout: NV again but that'll just remind me how superficial the entire Bethesda-Fallout world is compared to the games I grew up with. Also that's another game that starts off with death claws being frightening and ends with them being big silly huggable monsters.

Yeah f that. lol. It is worth 3 points in pickpocket though for +100 carry heh.

I have grown a lot less fond of Skyrim in the past few days.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game, but a few things keep it from being amazing for me.
1) Sound problems. Might seem stupid but the volume problems (low volume, a common problem even with maxed Skyrim volume), the fact that Skyrim doesn't work with volume control keyboards like the G15 because of how the game handles sounds (I obsessively monitor my volume with my keyboard in every game, movie, anything) and the fact that a lot of sounds don't work on my computer all work together to lower the experience somewhat (I have no battle noise, no running noise besides breathing, can't hear enemies except when they attack me directly, etc ; while I know that last point is more my problem than the game's, it's still frustrating)
2) Bugs and glitches. In one dungeon, I was exploring the water and fell through the bottom, landing on top on another floor. In one of the MAIN QUESTS a NPC didn't do what he was supposed to do (A Cornered Rat) and I can't advance the plot. I looked on the wiki and find that it's a very common problem.
3) Can't clear the world. At first I liked this, that enemies and chests respawn in places you've already been, but to be honest it kills the completion goal for me. I went through like 60 dungeons and then the game started giving me repeat quests that go to old dungeons I've already been to. So I went back and yep, new enemies and chests. Even areas without quests refill. It's not a huge problem for me, just a downer because I thought I could clear the world. You really don't need to grind in this game with the amount of dungeons, even to get max level.
4) Repetitive dragon attacks in the same spots. I've killed over a dozen dragons in the college. I've killed a few in Riverwood. I have barely killed any other except those on the map for the shouts. Also those bones got really cumbersome until they randomly disappeared eventually (after I killed like 10 dragons there).
5) Combat becomes too easy after a while, with all classes. Daedric armor, sneak or -100% spells cost make everything easy. It's also not that varied. Master spells have huge casting time and IMO are worse than Expert spells (destruction spells anyway, and mass paralysis doesn't seem to do much for me when I use it... as far as dragonhide goes, I use ebony hide for the better duration + casting time). Melee combat doesn't really have any attack abilities that would really enhance the game. I don't like avoiding features to gimp myself like a lot of people recommend.
6) Dungeon exploring becomes a chore after a while because they are all quite similar (a few different designs but yeah, not that much variety).
7) Shouts are relatively boring overall. A good idea overall; I like a few of them, but several seem completely useless and boring. The speed one is what I use now though, quite fun.
So overall, mods have helped a bit. Got better view of ores, got my archmage robe to look decent and I made some shops sell Greybeard robes. All good fun. But until the company fixes a lot of these issues (sounds and bugs) + mods come out to make the rest more difficult and fun, it's not something I will play a dozen of times.
Right now I'm frustrated with that quest bug so I'm taking a break but yeah, it's an 8/10 for me. There are a lot of options and I won't deny that I've played a ton despite all the problems.
|
Yeah, I think the combat is way too easy. I'm Steel armor with weapons I find and I breeze through the game. I thought different areas made it more difficult, but nope: Restoration + One hand axe ezpz
|
Ya its easy, but TES series was never about good/balanced combat or even good rpg elements really, the combat has always been basically hack and slash. The good parts are the lore and an interesting open world to explore and immerse in.
