+ Show Spoiler +I think you actually have to become a werewolf. It's a bit annoying but after the initial transformation I never used it again. If you keep going through companion missions then you may find a cure

Not quite sure what they were thinking with Enchanting/Smithing. It just seems way too powerful. If you stack magic resist or free Destruction spells the game changes completely for you.
The difficulty is strange. Master off the start is a touch annoying, as well as frustrating encounters vs. magic users or Dragon Priests. But you reach a point where you grow so powerful you wish you could make the game even harder. The game is trying a bit to keep up (you start noticing more powerful enemy Draugr carrying better weapons) but isn't quite doing it.
Companions AI is frustrating. After a hard-fought battle I find my companion dead on the field randomly and I feel bad enough to go back to my quicksave, until eventually I just give up. Near the end they simply serve the purpose of meatshield/extra inventory.
Spiders can seriously go to hell. + Show Spoiler +Especially ones from the ceiling I don't care if it makes me sound like a wimp. Some people hate heights, some snakes. I HATE spiders.
I am currently attacking random caves in my unskilled Light Armor + 2H to get levels. It seems this is the endgame now, to get those final levels when your primary skills hit 100.
Post makes me sound bitter, but I've already put a lot of hours into the game and had fun the whole way. Much at the time expense of SC2...
EDIT: Now to get Skyrim working again after this morning o.O

What's this 4gig patch everyone's talking about? I'm getting fed up by all the bugs (quests which should be there, but arn't, perks that doesn't do what they describe etc etc). Is there word of an official fix patch, or are bethesda known to keep bugs in the game?

Iunno bout you guys but being an assassin type of character, killing stuff is extremely easy until you get spotted ;-;.
Having 15x sneak damage multiplayer + dark brotherhood gloves which gives double sneak damage (30x multiplier, double backstab stacks with 15x multiplier from the sneak tree) = instagib daggers (especially with daggers like Ebony Dagger).

I'll be honest with everyone who has been playing on adept
I recently switched to master or w/e the hardest difficulty is and turned off my hud (i retain my health and stamina bar)
The game became a lot more fun and involving you guys should try it, Adept just makes the game an easy cruise and you could get surprisingly bored with it after a bit. once you hit new places that end in minutes that is.
I still 2 shot most people, Im a 2h heavy armor sneaky archer
archery almost at 100 now I'm lvl 35
I dont enchant at all yet but ive collected every enchanted item i can, all the food and misc is stored. I have like 500 potions stored away, and insane amount of gear and stuff, I just wish we could trade with people or sell items through steam.
ps: i'd also like to know more aboot this patch aswell

Do they really? I used some console commands in an atempt to fix some broken quests (didnt work) and Im still getting achievements.

I think this is most probably to not force people into doing optimal builds. This is a roleplay game where you can play as whatever you want. If you choose to play like a (D&D) classic bard, you can do that. The "low difficulty" allows you to play however you want without constantly having the fear of having chosen the wrong perks. This is how I go about the game: I don't care if what i'm doing is "good" or "bad", that mentality is for WoW players.
I first played through Oblivion with a 2hand specialized heavy armor warrior. I eventually came to the point where the enemies would not level anymore and I could basically oneshot everything. Same with an illusion caster / assassin (invisibility, sneak attack (with 100% paralyze chance), repeat). When I finally rerolled to an archer/assassin, deciding to not wear any armor (because I thought only robes and hoods look cool) and not use broken stuff (that umbra sword + azura's star - infinite charges on weapons, skeleton key, invisibility spells), the game became a lot more fun. You have to challenge yourself in elder scrolls games, not expect the game to do it for you. You don't always have to break the game and be the best. It's a single player RPG, do whatever the fuck you want!

Is there a way/any mods if not that allow disenchanting items?
I'd really like to make things like the Ghost blade and the Nightingale armor more useful with enchants.

Yeah, there is a buck-load. Maybe certain commands don't affect the achievements. They're all pre-made commands so it's likely that not all commands will do something to the achievements.

So I have a question... I got on my computer this morning played a little skyrim before class and everything was fine. I come back after lunch and decide to play a bit more.... and....
My shortcut to skyrim is all screwed up and I can't launch the game. I get to the launcher and hit play and it just blinks and pops up again and again.... I looked to see if my files were all there and they are all gone now... Does anyone know how to fix this?

Does this happens to any other programs or only skyrim ? If it's only skyrim and a reboot doesn't work a reinstal probably will and you can save your games.

I just had the same problem. You need to do this: Right Click game on Steams Library list, Properties, Local Files, Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Apparently they've patched the TESV.exe which leads to the complete removal of it in some cases.

Is there a console command to reset perks? I have a perk in heavy armor from before I knew what the fuck I was doing. I found a list of console commands including one that "removes" specific perks but IDK if it refunds the point or just takes it out of the tree.

Once you get staggershot, move fast w/ drawn bow, and the ability to make aim SLOW DOWN TIME, bow gets a lot easier.

it slows time for everyone including yourself meaning that the relative speed of everyone in the game remains the same.

Yes, you have to learn to draw your bow before activating the matrix-mode button. Trying to draw a bow with two points in the perk will kill half your stamina bar before the arrow is ready.

For many people the fun in a game like a RPG is finding the best gear and thinking about the best talent/perks/skills to get. Isn't the point of a RPG that you work up to things like "if i get level x i can do this" etc. In skyrim the problem is simply that many perks are completely broken. If you hit a high enchanting level (80) you can get -100% on destruction spells.. i played on expert and admit I had quite some difficulty here and there but when i got that enchanting high it immediately became way too easy and alduin died in 50 secs... Ofcourse you CAN not use the perks to their full use but that just feels silly. Like I could get this daedric gear now but I decide I won't because it's not fun I use the perks the game gives me... The enormous leaps your character makes based on some perks is just silly, couple that with the gamebreaking bugs and other flaws (poor AI, poor interface, boring spells, terrible scripted events, lack of cutscenes or good storytelling etc. etc.) and you simply can't call this a good game. It just feels like such a disapointment when you play a RPG for quite some time to play up to some cool endgame spells or quests and all of it is just an enormous letdown. Skyrim is like watching a movie that starts fantastic but gets truly awful halfway through but you feel compelled to watch till the end anyway. At the end it just feels like a complete ripoff.

It doesn't refund the point but there is another console command that lets you add a perk without using a point so you can basically re-do points
