There were a few annoying bugs, especially that audio bug with Esbern that caused me to miss out on his dialogue and have to save/reload a bunch of times at one point in the main questline. The only puzzle I found annoying was the one to get the Elder Scroll. I think there must have been a book I missed or something, because there were no clues at all on how to do that, I just had to guess until I figured it out.

For example, I just happened to stumble upon the Boethia's questline, and it's pretty amazing(especially for an outlaw concept). Spoilers ahoy: Forsworn questline + Show Spoiler + Guards around the entire game have a random saying, 'No lollygaggin'!'. When doing the parts of the Forsworn line in Markarth that take place in the mine, when you ask the brawny orc guard what he did to get in, he lists a bunch of crimes, and among them is, you guessed it, lollygagging.

I'm having fun with Skyrim despite its many flaws, but I think the best RPG for me will always be Baldur's Gate II (and ToB, the expansion). Soooo many things to do, so many ways to play. Interesting dialogue, tons of rp opportunities. And the magic in Baldur's Gate was just awesome. Wish spell, Time Stop, Dragon's Breath, etc. etc etc. were all so much cooler than the crap magic they gave us in this game... Oh well, here's to hoping the mods will be awesome Edit: Also the main story in BG2 was pretty awesome, the villain was a badass. Edit edit: Also Dragons in that game were really damn hard if you didn't exploit the AI. Man, BG was the best... *sniffle*

I'm liking playing as an asshole thief a lot more than my first character, which was a generic valiant warrior out to save the world and help the people. You liked the Thieves Guild questlines sure but did you like how the who Thieves Guild treat you like ass despite the fact that YOU'RE THE GUILD MASTER, and YOU SAVED THEM FROM FAILURE. Sheesh there's just no respect in Skyrim ![]() Oh and just to rub it in there's a scripted dialogue between Vex and Brynwolf (or however that asshat's name is spelled) where she says something along the lines of "Oh I did some extra missions and found a few more clients for the Guild" and Brynwolf says "Thanks Vex you really are the most reliable member of this guild". All I see her doing is standing there with her arms crossed acting like a bitch to me despite all the hard work I've put in. At least Delvin knows how things go around here, although unlike the Companion/Mage Guild endings you can't partner with any of them which sucks because as a thief having someone who can sneak with you is extremely helpful. Hopefully this will get modded in because the sooner the better.

If you take the Heavy Armor path, you get access to the best Heavy Armor (Daedric), the best Light Armor (Dragonscale), and the best weapons (Daedric + Ebony). If you take the Light Armor path, you get the best Light Armor (Dragonscale), the second best Heavy Armor (Dragonplate), and the third best weapons in the game (Glass). In fact, Heavy Armor can also produce Dragonplate armor. I chose the Light Armor side without thinking, but now I'm really regretting it, since Ebony and Daedric weapons look sooo much better than these stupid miniature broadswords >.< I consoled out the points I spent on elven/advanced/glass smithing once I learned of this. Don't really consider it cheating because the game doesn't make a point of telling you that that whole side of the smithing constellation is fucked.

I am thinking to either start a new char to join the thief guild and imperials and play a different style or just continue with my old one

Oh well. lol... that's because you didn't finish it. You have to do generic quests in major cities to get special requests that eventually lead up to you finally becoming Guild Master. If you don't have armor labeled Guild Master, you haven't done it yet.

My friend have new notebook with geforce card and integrated intel card and Skyrim detects only the intel one. After some googling, we found advices like this, but it didn't help: Anyone had any success with this? Choosing Steam won't change anything. You have to manually add TESV.exe and launcher.exe and choose high performance professor there. With the latest nvidia drivers there sould be also a skyrim entry in the drop down box so you don't have to manually add them. edit: lol wtf did i write?! :D professor... apparently it was too early in the morning :D

My two 34 lvl heroes (stealth archer and one-hand/shield swordsman) are too powerful for anything the game throws at them. At one point with the melee hero i attacked 3 giants and 2 mammoths and they couldn't even take 1/20 of my health. And the archer can kill pretty much any enemy before ever being seen. Even dragon priests are easy and dragons are just a joke. I'm thinking of upping the default setting (i think it's Adept, not sure), but it feels kinda iffy to do it at this point and not from the start. Try masters, at lvl 25 if I don't use potions and prepare for fights with giants, priests and magic users (I'm a warrior) I get stomped in like 2 hits. One time a giant hit me and I fleew like 239128371923 feet in the air! :D

Any help? I'm quotting to get some help.

I started a character and went from level 1 to 14 and maxed conjuration in about 45 minutes just using soul trap on a dead rat. Doesn't this game go through some kind of QA process? That's just one of many examples of shit that should have been cleaned up long before release.

Go to the door and pull down the console menu (~). Click on the door and type unlock. Not sure what's going to happen after that - It may not even work. Anyone wish they hadn't married so soon or just not at all? I married Aela the Huntress, and now I want a divorce. I'm guessing there are no legal and nonlethal ways to do that either. It's just so weird. My home in Whiterun is occupied by Lydia and Aela... Every time I run upstairs to my bed, I see them sitting at a table, eating quietly... Awkward...
