Should I take the star to Aranea or Nelacar? From my understanding, the Black Star grants renewable humanoid souls from Bandits, Necromancers, Daedra, etc., while the Azura Star grants renewable souls from everything else. However, I want to know what the endings of the quest for each are, and sort of want to pick the one that's better >.< Which has a better ending?

Nelacar, only black soul gems can absorb humanoid souls, these are extremely rare. The black star will do the same, but is rechargable. Also black souls count as Grand souls, so giving you max enchanting.
There is also a bug currently, allowing the black star to capture white souls if you have no other containers to hold them, so there is 0 reason to even get azura's star instead.

You do however get another follower from handing it in to Azura. And if you're anti-necromancy that might be another reason to hand in to Azura, though that has no actual in game effects, it's purely an RP morality thing. In all honesty though, having a reusable black soul gem is going to be more useful than the alternative, but realistically neither are going to be game changing at the end.

A lot of stuff is horribly overpowered, especially the last perks. When I got my final blocking perk and realized you could just run into a pack of enemies and send them flying everywhere with it, I decided to simply not using it. Same goes with The Ebony Blade, found that thing and noticed u are pretty much an invincible killing machine with that thing (restores a ton of health per hit). You just gotta restrain yourself and not use the OP stuff in order to keep the game fun imo.
Ya, I started off leveling all destruction/restoration and after I got OP, I switched to leveling sneak archer. Now when shit gets rough, I just pull out the double impact fireballs and heal, but otherwise I try and killing with my bow. I'm level 30 now and am pretty much just trying to clear all the dungeons for kicks while leveling fun skills and making cool stuff with enchanting. Enchanting is good to start leveling once your OP because you don't need to sell stuff for money anymore. Haven't done main quest yet, except first dragon kill. 5 dragons killed in total, they show up alot more now, didn't even kill 1 until level 23 or so.
Mods in oblivion dramatically reduced the number of abusable abilities (Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul). I hope they come up with similar mods for Skyrim before too long.
So I am trying to kill the dragon by Drelas' house and the dragon lands like 250 yards away from me. I am like wtf?! I investigate further and I find that a pack of sabre cats are beating the shit out of the dragon. Turns out, everything dies, the dragon and the cats. I do a winspin IRL. ( I tried like 10 times but died killing this dragon)
wtf I went to the mountain top and got the new shout and it says I didnt absorb the dragons soul..

lol, i bet you looked adorable doing your winspirl. anyways, i wanna get to deadric armor with +100% destuction spell cost reduction. (weird, i know). does anyone know what perks in enchantment i need for that?
I'm playing on high/ultra, no shadows, no reflection in water and everything else maxed out like textures/radiant/distance. FXA matched, no AA and AF. Results, 40-55 fps and pretty stable. The game looked allright but quiet dissapointed. Mafia 2 a game i pld recently all maxed out looked 1000x better.
Now the changes, I actually forced through the nvidia panel 8x AA and 16x AF. For the rest same settings. Results, the game looks amazing, hugh difference in gfx and improvement in stability. Please try it you gonna be happy
PS: I got a big FPS boost before my fps didn't go over 60 now i run sometimes over 70 and minimum 45-50. Try it and lemme know your results.

I'm playing through right now on normal and some fights use to be pretty tough. I can kill most things in 4-5 hits with my bow now though.
It is. I'm playing a Dual Wielding, Light Armor, Sneak character. I have like 4 perks in Lockpicking, but that is it. It is extremely tough on Master. It may be because I'm the glass cannon type character, but I have to use fuck loads of potions when soloing dragons or fighting a lot of Drauger.

It doesn't matter if it's lame or not it only depends on whether you care to keep doing it. I'm sure doing such a thing is going to get boring soon enough.
I'm not sure if I really consider it cheap or an exploit or OP, I have to be stealthy and pick enemies off 1 by 1.
Well it is up to you to decide whether you think it is cheap or not. This is a single player game...spamming Muffle for two hours might be legit for one person and cheap for another. ect. ect.
haha i have never spammed or done any grinding in this game but nice try.
Im not spamming either but im not having the easiest time
Then again i have a lot of levels thanks to sneak and lockpicking (i havent perked it but i do it a lot) so my combat skills are lower. Only recently at level 30 finally got everything to its 60% damage perk (one hand, arrow and armour bonus)

My brother is running this game on Phenom X4 and GTX 260 with Ultra settings and everything maxed out (or most of the things) without much trouble... Gotta ask him about his fps though, might be lower than yours.
hm, i had to abandon my mage. Just too boring without spellmaking. Just spamming some generic fireball or chainlightning isnt making me feel like an archmage at all. At least in Morrowind i could sit in my crazy organic wizard tower, researching new ways to desintegrate my enemies and scheme plans how to kill the next godling.
Ill stick to physical combat, that part is well done this time, its like they changed the roles compared to morrowind.
So I went ahead and got the game, but can't seem to bring myself to play it lol.
Here's the deal... I like playing archer types, but am seeing on Bethesda's forum that there are bugs with it. Is archery broken right now? Should I play melee or mage for now until a patch?

There's nothing wrong with the game, instead they now have arrow physics related to how you aim.
If the enemy is close you need to aim lower since arrows arch. If they are really far you need to aim higher.

More specifically, I'm talking about arrows going through targets that a lot of people have noticed:
