+ Show Spoiler +Nazeem sleeps with his wife in the second floor of the Drunken Huntsman. You'd expect him to actually have his own house, right?
Go get him.

I dunno a total of 5 perks across sneak, lockpicking, light armor seems to be pretty bad in any combat situations except stealth missions. Try to focus on 1 handed as you can always use a shield to block any close enemies always a companion if you still want to go bow so that he/she/it (dog) can protect you whilst you shoot

Just started the Mage Guild quest line, hoping that one will be better, don't see how it could be any worse.
This is how I feel too, the actual game is a lot better than Oblivion (save the dumbing down / lack of stats), the game world is amazing, loving archery, and level scaling seems fixed. Best of all, some of that sense of wonder / exploration seems to have returned.
But.....the main guild questlines are all really short. Not sure what they were thinking, seems it would have taken relatively little effort to make them better. You shouldn't be able to be Arch Mage at level 8.

anybody know where i can find a heavy armor trainer?

I believe either Farkas or Vilkas (from the Companions) can train you 5 levels.

Yeah, I did get killed a few times trying to get there early, which is good, that's exactly what should happen if you try to get too far too early. That said, you can probably get there easy at level 1 by using transport?

An example as to just how awesome this game is (story follows, spoilers from a sidequest too)
+ Show Spoiler +One day you walk into Whiterun and some Alik'r people ask you to find a redguard woman for them. Well I do and she says they are assassins sent to hunt her and asks me to kill their leader. I go through the whole bandit dungeon and then when I get to the leader he is surrounded by some 6 strong body guards. I'm an assassin type character so this isn't going to end well for me. He then starts talking and asks me to betray the lady by leading her to the stables where we will exchange the woman for some money.
I decide to agree to his demand.
So I lie to the lady and tell her she needs to run yadda yadda. Then when we get to the stables the leader is there alone and he starts to cast some magic.
I meanwhile walked up behind him, crouched and proceeded to slit his fucking throat from behind. Quest finishes the way I wanted it to, killing the leader of a group of assassins and saving some princess lady who is now a barkeep.
That was the single most amazing moment of skyrim for me. Telling the dude that I was on his side and then without a text prompt killing him from behind. I tried the straight up fight and it was way too hard so I figured I would try this route to finish the quest not expecting it to happen at all. I am pumped to say the least
If I could record the gameplay of that moment I would but unfortunately my pc and my internet are too shit to make that kind of video.

^I just killed him right there, still using his scimitar lol.

So i've basically been going from town to town buying iron ingot and making iron daggers to level up smithing. So far I'm at lvl 88 smithing from basically only iron daggers. This sound about right? Better method?

Im level 20 and most of that is from gaining skill points in sneaking and not actually in combat. I learned that you need to put some skill points into combat (attack and defense) and not just into the fun passive bonus things like sneak and archery zoom ins

About draconic smithing, don't read if you don't want to know about it before you get it!+ Show Spoiler +That awkward when the WOOHOO 100 smithing moment gets spoiled by the fact you sold all your dragon scales/bones to decorate your new home.

This was what I did to get to 100, definitely the best method. (sidequest spoilers)+ Show Spoiler +Getting the Septimus quest imba-as-fuck-book and choosing Path of Might helps a great deal with +5 smithing.

I have a question + Show Spoiler +From the "deadra Princes" (think they are called like that) I got a dagger and a mace. Does anybody know if I can get a Bow from them, and if yes, which quest I have to follow? Thanks!
