A few questions....
1) how do you get ore, ingots etc for smithing other than buying them and finding them randomly in dungeons? 2) if you are sent on quests that are really far away does it make sense to stop in near by dungeons/keeps etc to kill the bandits(explore the dungeon/mine etc) even if you don't have any quests to do so? 3) why do I have 5 shouts but only can use 2, it says I need more dragon souls but I have killed like 4 dragons or more. 4) is alchemy luck or is there a guide to different mixes for potions and poisons? 5) does anyone else's game freeze randomly when riding your horse or running outside?

I ended up getting my pickpocketing to level 100 without even realizing it and left all my other skills <30. Now I'm extremely weak in battles that should be relatively easy T_T

1) In mines (cross pick/shovel symbol on the map) there are ore veins which you mine, you need to have a mining pick for it. 2) That is just preference, if you want to level a lot and find loot/dragon words it can be good. 3) You need to invest the dragon soul into the shouts, just like perks 4) If you eat an ingredient you automatically find out the first effect of it. I am not sure if higher alchemy lets you unlock more of them by just eating them, but if you make a potion from two things that have the same unknown effect it will unlock them for you. 5) Not sure if you are playing on PC but Bethesda games are notoriously unstable on PC, just quick save (default f5) frequently so if you do crash at least you will not lose much.

Yeah she'll be in your house. If you haven't got a house yet she'll be in Dragonsreach hall. What about other random companions? I beat this guy up in a brawl, and got him to follow me because my next quest is near the town. I gave him some better equipment. If I part ways, will he just go back to the town I found him in with all of the equipment I gave him?
That's right, your followers will retain their inventories after you dismiss them and return to their starting locations ( In some cases if they have a house they will go there).

What can I do with the 3 marks of dibella? I don't need to return them to Haelga for my quest anymore so if I would have any use of them myself why return them to her.

I just got this Horse named Frost by being an asshole, I don't know where to park her lol, do I just abandon her?

What can a mage craft with dragon bones? I killed two so far (level 8) and have some now.
Also, what do I need to do to learn new recipes for alchemy? I'm trying to mix stuff but it fails everytime, nothing works.

also, how does one get a house? I can't find anywhere that lets me buy one (is there like a specific shop or person to speak to for every city?)

you need to get to level 100 smithing and take up the relevant perk, then you can make very nice armour with these.
Not sure if there is a smith who you can do this for you.

You can get the first ingredient by eating ingredients and there's a perk that will unlock additional effects from this (although I think it's towards the top). I've just been reading this to find out what matches so I have nearly everything unlocked except ingredients I've never had four of. Some people might think this is cheating, but I have no interest in discovering potions myself ^_^ waste of effort.

Has anyone tried being a werewolf yet? Is it worth it?

Werewolves are extremely disappointing. There's no reason not to become a werewolf really ^_^

Yeah this is a growing trend in TES games - no drawbacks
Same applies to all of the artifacts I've seen so far too

Got the same thing, but I haven't crashed for the moment and i'm currently at ~25h game, so it's not that bad but still get on my nerve sometimes... Maybe a mod can fix it but I've not found it

My Lydia died. I told myself that I wouldn't reload saves unless there was a crash or I died so I just lived with it.

Note for Whiterun at least you have to get up to a certain point in a questline.

how do you get started with pickpocketing? if you still only have basic skill who do you practice on to avoid everyone else hating you etc?
also i was forced to reload a save for punching a tiny girl in the face she was bullying a small boy and i tried to talk to her but she wouldnt talk back, so i punched her to make her stop. then the whole town tried to kill me, how is that justice, i barely gave her a slap.
