It's probably a bug. I know it's not on my end since my friend does the same thing.
Especially in dungeons. I can't tell you the amount of times I used my bow to shoot a clay pot in the distance to distract some Draugr's or something as I slipped by them.

If you miss a shot they come towards the sound and look but if you move and hide you are ok. Keep in mind arrows have a travel time so you can shoot and as the arrow is in mid air you sneak off and hide behind some cover by the time they realise you aren't around you can go back and shoot them in the back or if you have high sneak skill dagger them after sprinting up to them with a flourish roll.
I think the most important point you can put into sneak in the early game is the one to do with keeping your armour quieter. without it they will hear you shuffling around and chase more consistently.

Its a game glitch, just circumvent it by setting all your spells as favorites, then hotkeying them (highlight in favs then hit number), then to dual wield then just tap the hotkeys.
if:
1. fire 2. ice 3. sparks
then to get double fire just double tap 1, to get fire and ice double tap 1 then tap 2 etc.

Yeah i am certain i am.. it's just weird. Left bottom of my screen says'' m1 m2 to bind. M1 works fine, m2 however doesn't. With weapons it's no problem, dual wield swords, axes etc no problem.. but magic for some reason doesn't work..

Ya I have that perk, and i have the theives guild armor... i can sneak up to melee range without them hearing me. Its not that, its only with the bow. If i shoot a "distracting" arrow, it pulls the entire dungeon. Like I hear 20 people say "WHAT WAS THAT" "IS SOMEONE HERE". And everyone in the entire dungeon just starts freaking out and running around, no matter how far away they actually are.

Im in Fulgunthur (place for ivory dragon claw), and I'm stuck and annoyed at the very end of the dungeon.
I got through the whole thing fine, but then when you are going out there is one last puzzle in the entryway that you can now do because you have the claw. This room:

You have 4 unmovable symbols on the wall behind you, I have tried every form of mirrored or rotational symmetry I can think of and nothing is working. help?

I went to a dungeon with a similar puzzle. Ar you sure there isn't a room you missed which would have the answer somewhere in it? Or a note you picked up that has the answer or something?

You can usually just "brute force" randomly do the puzzles in like five minutes total.

i have to play this game on lowest settings (except medium textures and allowing far view distance) with a low resolution just to get good FPS. It is still an awesome game!!!

I've checked everything I can think of, this room is right in the entrance of the dungeon. There is another tiny treasure room to the right that you can just open with the ivory claw if that shakes your memory.

If I want to improve my armour do I only need skill in smithing or do I need to spend skill points? Im a little confused between crafting and improving >.<

Holy shit...the spell summon dremora lord is lollish. I summoned one and he killed 2 giants and 3 mammoths with me healing him. Huge damage and it's only an expert spell o.O

They *might* have made magic a little too powerful in this game

Magic is ridiculously powerful in this game. You can kill everything without much trouble. I might roll a warrior for the next playthrough. I doubt it will rape as much though...

Well at least they didn't have 'invent your own spell' in this game . Also has anyone gone a full mage using alteration protection spells? What's the max armour rating of that? I bet it's around 300?
By the way, I have now seen every type of player- thief/ warrior/ mage saying that maybe their class is too powerful...I think Bethesda have somehow managed to make everything OP. Which is good, because I'm really excited about what different builds I will choose as there seem to be many viable ones.

So this is my first elder scrolls game and I put it on the hardest difficulty, what's the best way for a beginner to start out this game? I just got past the first dragon after a few tries, but I really would like to keep it on the highest difficulty, so far dying hasn't been frustrating and I really enjoy the challenge it's giving. Right now (lv 4) put 2 points in the improving 1-handed attacks and 1 point in charge reduction, and for most combat I wait for an enemy to swing and light it on fire and cancel it with a charge attack.
Also is there a way to make first person view a bit less annoying? I find myself mostly using 3rd-person just because it's easier to see what's going on around you.

Explore until you get to level 10. Just run around, seriously, try to get deep in some shit :D. Maybe some dungeons here or there. Best thing to do for you! If you are serious on playing master you will have to pick an effective combination of perks and chosen skills I think . Or you can just abuse the AI of the computer and get them trapped in rocks.
