Wouldn't hurt to wander around and do some other stuff instead of just steaming through the main quests. But, to put in perspective I can one-hit all the normal mobs in that dungeon with an archer sneak attack in full elven armor +bow. So probably somewhere in between is what was intended. ![]()

I'm on PS3 btw That sucks :/ I'm guessing it auto-saved over your existing file, you can disable auto-save by going into the "System" menu when you press Start. Just means you'll have to remember to manually save. A bit off-topic but my auto-save seems completely broken. I've seen it say "auto saving..." in the top left a few minutes before I die but when it loads up, it never resumes from that auto-save point. It's very strange. Anyone else experiencing this on PS3?

Also, my computer has just over the minimum specs, is this game worth playing on low settings? Ty in advance ![]() If you can run it on low graphics but with a nice stable framerate (i.e. between 40-60) I would definitely go for it. I play on PS3 and from the screenshots i've seen of Ultra/Max PC graphics, the consoles graphics are probably equivalent to low/medium on PC. It's completely fine though, after a while you don't tend to notice/care about the graphics because you are so immersed into the gameplay!

This allows you to transmute iron ore into silver or gold ore. Make tons or gold ore, smelt into gold ingots and craft some golden jewelry with the gems you already found some some cash and skill points. Lol I was going to post about this, was so happy when I found that scroll. Mined about 45 iron ore going through that place too, now I have a chest in my house with 20+ Gold Ingots stored away (for when times get hard ).

Edit: Nvm I found the character fade draw distance option. put it to 6 much better and the game doesnt seem to take a hit in terms of how well it runs.

Conserving lock picks? Anyone? lol :p You just need to release the button as fast as possible once the pick starts to shake around. I judge the general area by how much the lock shakes when I tap it in various locations, then it's really just about letting go once the pick shakes. On expert locks or more, you'll break some picks anyways, but there are enough around. I always turn right, so I don't think the direction matters. Also, afaik the right spot doesn't change between saves, so you could always just save and relaod if you think you broke too many picks. (lockpick perks help a bit too, but aren't that useful)

It's completely fine though, after a while you don't tend to notice/care about the graphics because you are so immersed into the gameplay! Yeah I agree. I had to lower AA and Anistrophic Filtering by 4x (from full) both to achieve something like 45 AVG FPS, and changing between 40 and 60 on Ultra High Quality, 1920x1080 with a Radeon 6950, i3-2100k and 4GB DDR3,whereas I can play Witcher 2 and DA2 on full settings without any problem (both look great and nicely optimized compared to Skyrim as far as I can see) Skyrim is one of those games (along with Deus Ex HR) that from a technical viewpoint, the graphics are not mind blowing, but overall, their contribution to the game's atmosphere and how nicely they fit in with what the game tries to achieve, is brilliant. Face animations are really important for me and they are overall well done in this game, that's a plus for me. I have yet to see games that offer superb environment graphics (trees, foilage, plants etc) so I don't care that much about that, although the blizzard and snowy effects look great.
