Only works if one quest/objective is selected (I think). Also works if you're in the zone/area it's very near from.

So I went to 4 different stores and London Drugs finally had a copy of Skyrim for the PC lying around. Ssibal.
Anyways dis game is awesome. I told myself I wasn't gonna use fast travel and so far I haven't. I've even been using the physical map the game came with rather than the in game map, just for fun haha. The physical map only has like the actual borders and the really major cities on it so it's pretty fun not really knowing where to go.
I'm sure I'll get sick of doing this eventually but as for now I'm having fun doing it. ^^

My first horse when flew off .a mountain like 1000 feet and we landed on a river some wierrd stuff

It most certainly doesn't for me or I have no idea what I am supposed to see. ;o
Mine glitched in a dungeon i used it in a while ago. It tried to direct me the exact opposite way to my objective instead of the way that I had been heading. Luckily I didn't follow it blindly. I dunno if it's bugged or what but it certainly doesn't seem as nice and easy as the game play demo's made it look.

I cant seem to find the cart guys unless they are directly outside the city? im blind >_<
but playing thi sgame makes me feel like amnesia after watching day9. The sounds in my head with the logitech g35 and the popups of the 1st dungeon+ Show Spoiler + where you learn the 1st dragon shout is jsut soooo spoooky its unreal! haha And the graphics are just jaw dropping whenever your running through the woods with a stream, forestry, icy mountains in the background.

If you got multiple quest selected, it selects one of them which leads you back to the wild most of the time

God I love this game. Haven't played too much of it yet. But it did make me lose a lot of sleep tonight when I thought "Ok, I'll just do one more dungeon and then turn it off". I started realising the difficulity of the dungeon when my companion got oneshotted by one of the generic mobs just inside the door. Took me something like 4 hours to finish it

is it just me or are melee classes lacking? my heavy armor doesnt do anything against the giants, mammoths and the 'boss' monsters that cast magic destroy me.
level 10 right now, should i even use my perks on 2h weapon? or switch over to something like destruction? 40 in 2h atm

20minutes to go, when i started the DL i had incredible 10kb/s down :D i let it run overnight now its up at 400kb/s at least. cant wait to play!

You shouldn't be able to kill a Giant or Mammoth at level 10 with any race armor or weapons without glitching. I'm level 15 and Giant's are borderline impossible to kill, mainly because they hit like trucks and Mammoths and other Giant's come to help.

There should be console commands to teleport you to certain characters. I once lost a companion in fallout new vegas and I was able to get back to him by a console command. something like "goto npc-code" But I can't help you with the npc-code
edit: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:NPCs see last part "Console IDs". I know it's for Oblivion but it should be the same.

I've ordered a new computer a good week ago, but I couldn't help myself - I had to play it right now! So I installed it on my laptop, which manages to run it, although barely.
Taking the bad things first, the crafting system is very bland. I'd have hoped for a more involving system, perhaps with a minigame for the crafting process, with unlockable or discoverable recipes (more than the very rudimentary talent tree unlock). Instead they've gone for the modern MMORPG approach, which is an annoying timesink more than anything.
Kiting with magic is ridiculously powerful against a good 80% of all enemies I've met so far (up to level 8, playing on Expert), making magic and kiting a better choice than melee combat for my one-hand-specialized warrior. Hopefully, they'll add some AI that is better at taking advantage of the defensive problems of player spellcasters, but currently, it's just silly. While I realise that my level is low and specialization won't have a significant impact for a bit, it's still rather backwards, as this power imbalance encourages me to level my spellcasting feats as it's my spellcasting skills that gain most levels. That said, this system is far better than that of Oblivion, and hopefully some balance patching will be added to make it work better. If not, there will be mods soon.
As for the good sides..
The animations and voice acting are FAR better than Oblivion. They've obviously put a lot more effort and resources into the latter part for this game than the previous, which really helps on the overall atmosphere of the game. The storytelling, too, has gotten a huge upswing. A lot can probably be attributed to the better and more diverse voiceacting, but the dialogue feels better written and the events better paced as well, so it's an overall increase in quality. Sure, the story is generic and unimaginative, but the story's not as important as the presentation of the story, and the presentation is pretty good so far.
The world is beautiful, even with my lappy set to minimum. Sure, the character textures are faded, but the overall, the game leaves a good impression, especially in outdoor settings. I can't wait to see it on my new computer once the parts arrive!
The best part of the game though? The bards are playing the Daggerfall tavern-music! So awesome!

Finally got past the Steam bullshit today, and it's awesome! Completely agree that the UI is garbage though.

It is completely different. The Witcher is closer to a Bioware game, with a more compelling story and more personnality, and Skyrim is closer to... the other Elder Scroll games obviously, with lots of freedom and a huge world. I prefer The Witcher 2 personnally, but Skyrim is a great game too.

THREE MORE MINUTES ON THE DL, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
|
As to Clairvoyance, about 60% of the time it takes you right to where you need to go and seems lame since it is like playing the game for you. 30% of the time it does nothing. 10% of the time it goes a wild goose chase then disappears into the wall. :D
You do have to make sure and have the quest you want help with activated though.
Edit: People who follow you/you have to follow are annoying as hell and pretty buggy. But that is common in a lot of a games.

This game is so well done. For me the best moment so far has been when fighting my first dragon, the Dovahkin chant and music came up 30 seconds before killing, awesome nerdgasm when that happened. + Show Spoiler +I really hope theres a cure for the werewolf curse for the player if you go that route, I've cured pretty much everyone in the companions guild who wanted to, but I'm still waiting for an option to cure me
