This whole guard shit is getting annoying, got attacked by 3 guards, killed them becasue I didn't want to pay the 1k bounty, next time guards were on to me I decided to go to Jail, I get out of jail, and the guards are still chasing me. -_-

can anyone tell me if skyrim save data is stored on steam or on the pc? I just installed it in my pc and was wondering if i can play back and forth between my pc and my laptop.

Holy shit, picked up the very last copy at my local store... So lucky :D Seems like they have too many console versions and not enough for PC...
Anyway, finishing the installation right now... So excited to play!!!!

Anyone know why the number next to my "1 handed weapon" under skills is red? Common sense indicate a penalty somewhere but I cannot think of why.

So like, got a ton of ore, how do I forge them into ingots? Also, tried to mess with some giants, not the really big type either. First one smashed my companion into gibs with one strike, the next swing flung me across the road. I learned my lesson..

And is there any way to use keybind, or do I have to used the console friendly "fav menu" It's tedious and iffy when I could rather just press a button to switch between weapon and spells.

Add your weapon or spell to favourites by pressing F on them, then when you're out of the menu press Q to bring up your favourites and press a number to bind them to.

Wow, these menu's are really cumbersome to use

Couldn't they just spend a little more effort and not just slap console menu's on the PC version?

And I haven't even started a single side quest yet.

Just bought the game as I was going out of work. I was really excited, even cancelled some other things I could've done on this Friday evening, this was going to be so awesome!

.....I can't install it. Steam won't let me. Steam won't let me install the single player game that I bought at a local game store. I don't even know what to say.

Edit: am I right to assume that all those who are playing it pirated it? Or did it come out earlier in other parts of the world?

Check active effects in the magic menu. Diseases are listed there, maybe you have one.

Short question: I was all for getting skyrim, but now after I've read the IGN review and read many comments on different sites, the inventory system (only sortable by name, not weight, price) seems terrible and the controls on the pc version seem terrible too. Are they terrible enough to make it not fun?
