I've gotten Flakjacket pro yesterday and it's pretty awesome, the nade reset things allow you to throw so many nadee, it's just op in some situation. The fire resist is cool too, you don't die so easily from napalm.
I think I'll learn all the maps soon and start doing some gamebattles 2s or 4s, it seems like the only competitive way in CoD 7 right now. Most the servers I've played on are just pubstomp. It's very rare that I'm not first on the list.
I've also watched the guns review by Woodys gamertag (youtube that shit right now if you haven't seen it. All in all he's says that the galil, ak47, ak74u and the spectre are the best guns. Personnaly I've been using almost exclusively the FAMAS with red dot/ xtended mag and I can say it rock the house, I tried the AK74 but I find that from distance and doesnt kill as fast/accurate as the famas.

I'm getting kind of tired of all this AK-74u stuff. And I swear with suppression that thing can't kill, but with Rapid Fire it demolishes sad 14 year olds all day.
I'm not even kidding, I've been playing Search and Destroy like, all day and all I see is AK-47, L9 sniper (on Array mostly), AK-74u, and Famas on occasion.
I guess it could be worse though. Snipers galore in CoD2 back in the day, you know, when no-scoping wasn't really much to do and sniping basically outpowered everything that wasn't right next to you.
Strange, most people I see use the AUG or the FAMAS - AK74 not so much.
Does anybody use semi-automatic rifles? When I'm using the FAL I'm almost guaranteed to be the only one on the server, and I don't think I ever saw the M14.
I started using the FAL a couple of levels before I prestiged and I really liked it. It feels really easy to use especially at longer ranges. There is really no issues with recoil and the shots seem to always go where u want them. Only thing I find lacking in it is the ability to take on multiple guys in close quarters with the old spray and pray. I might try the m14 out when I unlock it this go round.

Love the M14/FAL. 1 shot kills at any range with suppressor (hardcore), 2 at most for walls with pinpoint accuracy. They're not even that bad for hip firing if you fire quickly enough.

M14 is my personal go to, throw a grip and silencer on it and I just go to town on HC S&D.

Yeah you're probably right to be honest, that game on cracked had a fair few people who were pretty bad. I get the feeling that i did a bit of spawn killing.

I didn't actually notice until I popped on drawfps, so it's not a big deal in the end, but I don't get why.
cg_drawfps is the command to shwo you your framerate you need to change com_maxfps
This post is somewhat rage filled. So more or less a rant.
This game is so weird. There is some kind of anti lag at work that gives benefit to people with over 150 ping. Just played a game where the whole other team had 100 ping or higher, my ping being around 50. In every other mp game I played where I was in this situation my enemies would just not have any chance at all to react. However in this game it seems what I see on my screen is not what happens on the server level. These high ping players are in one way or another able to react before I can shoot. What is frankly to me quite unbelievable. I'm not some kind of public casual player a have a very long fps history and the skills that come with it (yeah brag). And don't get me started on me running through an open space into a building to get killed when i'm behind cover and see in the killcam that the player was just shooting empty air behind me. Point being is: What you see on your screen (with a ping below 50) is not what actually happens, what to me is really strange. I expect this when my ping is above 100.
So did anyone else have some strange experiences with the latency?
Yeah the latency can be quirky sometimes. The most obvious sitation I can think of was this one time I was rounding a corner. There was a claymore and the guy who placed it waiting on the other side of the corner, between already having sprinting and jumping I was able to survive the claymore - landed and shot the guy 3 times with the m14. Well at least thats what I saw, the kill cam didn't show me shooting at all.
On the subject of the m14 - after trying it out after prestiging I can safely say this gun sucks compared to the FAL. The combination of recoil/accuracy is far worse on the m14 than the FAL, even with the grip. I never had problems with recoil when using the FAL - it always seems to return by the time of the next shot - not the case with the m14 which will drift way high if you let it. FAL also seems to be more reliably accurate over all, especially at long range. Basically it performs better than the m14 with a grip without needing a grip - freeing up an attachment slot. I think the only advantage m14 has a 1.5 head shot multiplier vs 1.4 for the FAL. I can't think of any situation where that might come into play though - maybe bullet penetration head shots?
I bought this game yesterday, enjoy it so far even If I suck really bad. I'm new to the Call of Duty series and don't really have the time to play it with job and Sc2 in my life.
Nonetheless, it's a good game for having fun on a friday night with friends. I'm at level 9
