I'm actually interested in starting a special division of TLTA which deals with the arrangement of safe transportation through "the Slip" This would involve the construction of fortified passages through the Slip, with no areas larger than 4x4x4 to prevent Ghast spawning. And, of course, there would be the matter of measuring carefully the distances between portals in order to make sure they will exit at the right place. This could be a coordinated effort with the main division of TLTA, in order to produce a road with portals every X meters. Minomino and I were throwing this idea around in PMs. Would be pretty cool. I wouldn't mind managing a set of portals That reminds me, I totally forgot to respond to that last PM ![]() Ah yeah I'm so excited too! Especially considering that the ghasts can actually blow things up, it should be really fun building stuff down there.

This could be a coordinated effort with the main division of TLTA, in order to produce a road with portals every X meters. I agree, this would be awesome, but we have to keep in mind two things. First, it makes sense to build the main highway first, so we know where exactly the portals need to go. second, and most important, we might not be able to do it at all. Seri said in game the other day that hell dimension might be disabled in this server for explore griefing reasons. somebody asked about road standardization? the current template for roads is the following. x is cobblestone, X is cobblestone one level up with a torch on it, and h is halfstep. XxxxX hxxxh hxxxh hxxxh XxxxX hxxxh hxxxh hxxxh basically its a 3x3 wide road with a border. there are a billion miles of them in the server right now, just walk around and take a look. as far as TLTA organization goes: when the server is up we'll need to build a TLTA hq near the spawn. In the hq there will be a wall with a bunch of signs on it; people requesting roads to their houses will put a sign in the HQ and when you log on, check the HQ to see what roads need to be done. Then, go do it, and replace the sign with a sign that says you did it so i know who is doing what. Try to keep bridges and things to a minimum if you can; if you can just follow the hill down theres no reason to cut straight across in mid air to get to the other side of the valley. Over water it is fine, or over large cliffs and things, but keep in mind the scenic aspects of the road. take a look at bishop bridge near castle minotaur near spawnville; thats a good, well designed bridge because it is scenic and looks good from a distance. any other questions ask me in game or in here i guess. hope this helps!

Hmm. Are you spending a lot of time in, or close to, /warp Maimer? Like in the last server, there's an area that causes clients to crash, and if that's the case, you should try putting on some fog.

First person to be back wins. Warp is "/warp gladiator" Screenshot also contains me wanting to build a tnt cannon to fire at ugly buildings. Regarding survival multiplayer: I'd probably hate it if it was on realistic. Having hunger in the game and stuff like that you have to take care of sounds horrible. Having to farm more food than in current single player sounds really dull an boring. I already did that. Just like cave exploring (with mobs) and mining is fun as long as it is new to you, and you find your first diamond or the first dungeon, after you have done that, it gets boring again. So the only thing that is left really, is to build stuff. Be it games like spleef, the gladiator parcour, casino, mazes and so on, or just town projects and flying spaghetti monsters. Fighting off mobs while doing stuff is fun, but I am also somewhat skeptical of working combat with the current netcode. Dying to lag is not fun, to nobody. I would actualy prefer creative I think. Not the creative from the website, as that doesn't have all the neat stuff creative has. If fighting mobs works decently, I don't mind them. Cave exploring takes a while longer, so iron is harder to get, you gotta be a bit careful at night, but in the current form the mobs don't change much. Everything takes a little longer, and you need more stuff, but fighting them on ocassion is fun, and I assume most people want them. This is not even factoring hell in though. I assume hell without mobs would be pointless. ![]() So yeah, when hard -> realistic and mp is sufficiently advanced from it's current stage, I'd say put the server on normal.

Then of course the little things like being able to catch fish and carve pumpkins. I'm grateful for an update, but at the same time, with the announcement of no health in multiplayer, this is actually pretty disappointing. If he hasn't gotten health working, then it's highly likely he hasn't fixed redstone or minecarts, either. And according to one of his recent tweets, it sounds as if he won't implement lanterns yet. I know I'm being overly critical here, but at the same time as somebody who's played this game for about a year now and seen the quality and frequency of updates drastically decrease over time, I have to wonder how much time he actually spends on this game anymore. I mean, he's already hiring people to work on a new game at his company. He's hired two programmers, and neither of them works on Minecraft. Coupled with these increasingly disappointing updates (the last one added a non functional fishing pole), I have to wonder what direction this game is going in, if any. /end morning rant.

DOING IT NOW I see that as a bad thing, because he promised the update out by 11:59pm today, which gives him only 5 hours to release it. Accounting for the time it takes to set things up for download on his web server, I'd say he probably only has about 3 hours of coding left. As I said before, this update really doesn't have a lot of content in it since the largest parts of it were already more than half finished in-game. The fact that he's been working on this for two months, and still couldn't finish four out of nine items on his list is depressing. Not necessarily saying that he should have finished everything... but more or less saying he needs to stop making promises he can't deliver on. This isn't the first time he's hyped something up that he wasn't able to actually do. It's getting kinda old ![]() So with three hours of coding left, he's either not going to finish any multiplayer features, or he's going to delay the update. My vote goes to multiplayer because it's the lesser of two evils for him.
