What are the rules on adding to a TLTA road? There's a really neat bridge near Moria, and I really want to add a neat structural-looking arch below it.

Thats not really TLTA road...I made it!

If you wanna add an arch then go for it.

yeaaah, more or less. we're going to make some wide roads right away when the server resets, but we aren't dividing the map into quadrants. we're going to first circle (or square, i guess, haven't seen the leveltype yet) the spawn area, giving it some generous room to grow, and then do some smaller roads branching out towards people's constructions, possibly highways leading out towards and circling the major ones. the first thing i'm going to do when i get in the server is start this highway, but i'm going to mark it first. if you see a line of cblstone two high with spaces in between it, thats the path for the road. don't fuck with it, or build something on it. building over is ok.


The highway will be seven wide, cobblestone, with some lighter color blocks striping down the middle. I'm thinking probably two halfsteps, could also be sand, haven't decided yet. like this:

there won't be edges like the current roads, but there will be lamposts every so far. the smaller, regular roads leading to houses and whatnot will have edges with torches on them like we're used to.

I'll need some help with it too, if anyone is interested


def near the spawn have the roads, but i dont think they should go all over the map. some of us like having the wide open wilderness to explore and what not. probably do it as needed would be better??

Minomino and I were throwing this idea around in PMs. Would be pretty cool. I wouldn't mind managing a set of portals

That reminds me, I totally forgot to respond to that last PM . But yeah, given health works, and monsters are at least somewhat powerful, it's a cool idea. Can't wait for the update :D. Living in the Slip sounds like a fun challenge.
