Besides that all mods are made compatible with 1.2.5, that also includes world gen, CATSSSSSS!!!!!!!11 and the other random stuff. While converting our current world to tekkit 3.0.3 would be possible it will imo cause too many random accidents and other shit (full process can be read about here). Basically all engines next to forestry stuff will explode and all the redstone will have to be replanted - aka it would fuck up pretty much everyones base big time. Even though this would mean losing the probably sexiest Minecraft vanilla seed I've ever seen: If we update, the map would be made publically available for download and then reset. The when and how are a bit more complicated. When we set up the server Aixler and me were highly motivated and to be completely honest we're not into minecraft that much atm. For me personally, if a dozen or so people are like OMG YEAH WE'LL BE ACTIVE AGAIN and one or two guys are there to help with admin stuff (worldeditting vulcanos, help finding seeds, moderating etc.) I'm cool with updating in a week or so when the biggest bugs/failures are known and fixable. =P Also, when we reset anyway, we could see if someone here can step up and get a custom terrain generator working properly with Tekkit. IF someone is willing to step up and nerd himself through that stuff. The reason why I'm having a huge hard-on for custom terrains is stuff like this: + Show Spoiler + ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Getting something like that going would involve lots of grinding (basically nerding through all the parameters and finding out what works how and what doesn't) and then figuring out if we have to add oil/vulcanos manually. The big rubbertrees would most likely be completely gone, but I think it could be worth it. Time to shout and bitch what you guys are up to and if you're into this at all at the moment. ♥ | ||

Personally i would like a reset. If anyone would like to know why i reccomend them traveling to the volcano next to alot of big holes and be amazed by the sheer lagg my waterpower device generates ![]() anywhays i will look into the custom terrain but no guarantees ![]() | ||

The screenshot below isn't something special, that's totally common for my world there: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Note the huge trees, the darker trees which look like they're built on sand etc. ... also that screenshot is made from y114, basically the entire terrain is more streched vertically which makes it look much more interesting. Not sure, but it could be possible that you could convert that stuff into a Tekkit map rather easily. On another note, with 1.3 Mojang is planning to integrate SMP and SSP in terms of modding (actually they'll just force all SSP mods to be coded in the same way as SMP mods =P). It's probably about half a year or a bit more down the road but that'd mean Thaumcraft in Tekkit. I'd come all over that, that mod is so incredibly well done. Mo' Creatures is about to support SMP as well, it's currently available as a buggy beta. BUNNIES! TURTLES! WEREWOLVES! =D Thaumcraft is at least as big as IC/BC, can't wait for that to make it into SMP. | ||

...me and some other players did ask you for the download-link of the old server map (the one with the islands...) months ago and you said that you'd put it out for download soon...just wanted to ask you again...if you got the time - would be very nice of u... greetings | ||

It's run off 100% whitelist and I'm opening it to any TL regs/members. Whitelist is at my own discretion so if you've got 2 posts I (most likely) won't whitelist you in - I'm not even adding any LWC / WorldEdit style stuff (I do have world saves enabled, never fear) Due to the server being Vanilla, updates and stuff won't hold us up, unless they really break something on Mojang's end. shoot me a PM called "Minecraft Whitelist" with the following info Minecraft name: Did you play on Serejai's original or second server?: Favorite BW/SC2 progamer!: If you can't follow that simple instruction then don't expect a whitelist. | ||

Then i decided to update to the newest version. God what a mistake. Like half the mods were missing and when i tried to add them i only got errors:\ After that little adventure i decided to just add them myself. Easiest thing ever. If there is any interest for it i'll write out a noob proof guide that explains how to add modds with modloader and the install of modloader itself. If there are enough people that understand how it works we can even set up a server without tekkit(but with the cool mods like buildcraft, forestry and industrialcraft:D) Edit: Btw EE is fucking op | ||

My only mod on the server prevents fire spread, and gives me some world backup commands. Our Tekkit Server is still up, however I'm still too lazy to update since general interest seems rather low and I miss new content. Most modders are in some kind of hiatus atm since 1.4 will merge SMP and SSP mods. A few months later there will hopefully a stable Tekkit pack with Thaumcraft (probably in the Arcanacraft version though, the dev seems to be already working on that). | ||

I indeed downloaded the dev build ![]() Arcanacraft is going to be way different from thaumcraft i believe. The whole vis/taint system will be replaced with something else. So it will be a bit of a gable if it will be as good as thaumcraft 2 or not. But anyways my point was that tekkit works perfectly fine in the stable version but that stable version is lagging many versions behind ![]() | ||
