#1: 1 Argentum Armor, 1 Batterskull main (previously 2 Argentum Armor main)
#2: 2 Remand, 1 Argentum Armor, 1 Batterskull sideboard (previously 4 Remand)
Thats it for the mainboard. I think the rest of my Storm Crows are coming in tonight, if so I'll post a pic of my full deck! I'll also post my matchups tonight as I finish them. [EDIT] R1 I don't even remember, R2 Bye, R3 Soul Sisters (went to time in a draw, I kept horrible hands), and R4 some sort of naya defender ajani gideon brew idefk. Bad games, storm crows aren't up to par, not happy.

Also, is Chandra's Phoenix a good option? I feel like it could help in grinding down the game. Sadly neither Geth's Verdict nor Countersquall trigger it. :S Blightning, Ultimatum, Molten Rain, and Volcanic Fallout do, though. I've also been thinking about running Spellheart Chimera, but with graveyard hate being so commonplace I don't think that'd work. It's also in bolt range. I've tried Ashenmoor Gouger too, and it was ok, I guess. Anyway, do I even need a creature dedicated to beating down the opponent? So far I've been relying mostly on my manlands + Cruel Ultimatum to win the game, but the deck doesn't have any real win condition if I can't cast Ultimatum and my Lavaclaws get killed. Creeping Tar Pits and Snapcasters would probably help but I don't have the money for them atm.

I'm even thinking of using Dimir Keyrune since I don't have Creeping Tar Pits.

I'm building a Cruel Control for Modern with a shoddy mana base (UR shock, BR check, BU check, BR manland, basics) - and I'm trying to decide between Geth's verdict and Far//Away. Either the other player will beat down your face since they kill you faster, combo out and ignore it or it gets walled by a Tarmogoyf forever. Chimera is ok but it fails the Bolt test. And in a low threat deck, it means it's not sticking around for very long (if at all). Phoenix is ok as a pseudo-man land but it's not very dependable and you have to run a lot of Red cards just to keep triggering it. If you want value, then Risen has it right in terms of using stuff like Mulldrifter. If you're going to throw down something onto the battlefield as a finisher, make it really big. Grave Titan, Ætherling, a Thundermaw Hellkite, Wurmcoil Engine. Something big, fat and does something useful the moment it comes into play and really screams "fk you". Out of them, Grave Titan is probably the easiest to acquire and offers good value. Inferno Titan and Frost Titan are also decent fatties and have the benefit of being bulk dollar rares. If you're having trouble with you manabase (and I suspect you don't have Fetches+Shocks) you can always try Reflecting Pool and Vivid Land Cycle which worked great in Lorwyn and I suspect will still be great in Modern. Or try the Filter Lands although some of them might be a bit pricey. But they are good ways to mimic the power of Shocks+Fetches. Out of them only Reflecting Pool is the pricey one, but you don't want to be running 4 of them anyway. Vivid Lands should be bulk cards that go for under a dollar each. Or you can play something hilarious like the Amulet of Vigor combo deck or Cheerios! On a more serious note, Graveyard splash hate hurts hard. So just play whatever is most fun.

Cluestones cost 3 and aren't Coalition Relic and thus are terrible. This is huge. Note that I'm running gatekeeper of malakir. Triple black is hard to do with signets. I'm also running spell snare. Tapping out T2 and not having spell snare up can be really dangerous, especially when you are on the play. Just noticed how old this list is. God I love seeing cruel, but I've dropped it to two for an additional meta card (damnation for me, could be an additional counter or something depending on what you need)
