Actually, I think this is something pretty cool that WotC should do more often. It gives the person who pulls it a cool story, gives out a bit of info. for the next set, fuels hype for it. And if no one pulls it, oh well, it's just a common/uncommon card, nothing too crazy that's left in a random pack for some random dude to pull later.

So I haven't played standard in a long time and just wanted to play some games. Ended up adjusting my old Safety Sphere deck with what Woo did with his and tweaked a bit more for cards that I wanted to play. Can't really say no to any deck that has Drownyard as its only win-con.
Games have been fun, survive the onslaught and slowly grind them out (aka not do anything and play draw-go with like next to 0 instants).

Rage is always fun on MWS.

Just recently got back into Magic and been playing on Cockatrice ID NotSorry.

Lord. I'd scoop at that point too. >_<

Having a lot of issues with my side deck, I generally know what I want to bring in but I have a real hard time on what to take out in place of it. Running BR Zombies in standard, I have like an 80 card side deck that gets changed 10times a day too many good choices since the format is so open.

The fact that the Standard format isn't "solved" by this point is both a good and bad thing for people. It's good because it promotes deck construction and new archetypes. It's bad because it promotes new archetypes and makes people have 30-ish cards that need to be flexible for the sideboard/mainboard to adjust to metagame shifts, which means more money spent to remain competitive in Standard.
Generally speaking, look at matchups where you are not favored post-board; lots of decks that can support it are moving to Rhox Faithmender plus Centaur Healer or Thragtusk to deal with the zombie hoards, so Ultimate Price (for Rhox and Tusk) and Murder (for Healer + anything else) are worth looking at. For the mirror games, Tragic Slips help deal with Falkenrath Aristocrat, and Cremate has some splash hate for both Reanimator and the mirror match. Bant Control shifts into a mill you plus Terminus everything gameplan, so Archwing Dragon is pretty decent there. Finally, for the decks with planeswalkers like Garruk (either version), Jace, Tamiyo, or Sorin, flying bodies help, but so does Pithing Needle.

My issue is the main deck runs so many great cards that it's hard to decide which ones to take out for the side board cards to come in.

Ahh; learning that is always tough, because the main deck is so distilled/refined to it's purest, simplest form. It depends upon the matchup and how your main deck looks, as some people prefer certain cards over others. For me, I look at the cheap spells - your Cacklers, the Pillars, your Gravecrawlers - and swap them out for these cards. It does make the deck a bit slower and not as threatening of a fast clock, but gives you a ton more 'finishing' power, with your Archwings and Brimstones.
I know Cedric Phillips (a pro magic player and MTG personality) has done streams of BR Zombies and various other aggro-focused decks for the past month or so; go through his video archives on twitch.tv to see the games, his thought processes and how he sideboarded for what matchups to gleam some more information on how things can be.

That's cool, never really thought of mtg as a stream-able game. Any good sites with links to top player streams?

Wizards has decided to leave us presents on the mothership all weekend.
From Monday, a Simic creature: + Show Spoiler +
And for today, a Gruul creature showing off the new keyword: + Show Spoiler +
What will tomorrow bring? Dimir, Orzhov or Boros?
|
Boros!!! >:-D
My brother's gonna love the Simic and Gruul cards in combination with each other. Keep setting off Evolve abilities with Gruul creatures; keep smashing face with... said Gruul creatures, lol.

Will be interesting to see how much gatecrash shakes up an already very open standard meta.

It could do the opposite and seal it up. Like NPH sorta pinned down a bunch competitive constructed formats with Batterskull.

What cards would you recommend I try get, I am trying to build a White/Green/Blue token into late game deck, I have a few druid's deliverance, some sellers of songbirds, 2 palisade giants and a Stormride Leviathan (shiny!) and I obviously have some other cards, do you think that this deck idea could work? Any cards that I have to get?

Hey guys, any pointers for newcomers to the standard scene? I've just gotten back into magic and really having a tough card with all of these new cards, I played a booster draft the other day but I'm completely lost rofl, tried building an Izzet based deck but its not too good.

Standard and mainly casual for playing with some people in the local hobby store and my brother. I occasionally play the local version of FNM where it is just a tournament between everyone there, winner gets 2 boosters.
