Also I picked Evasive Arcana (30 points) that makes my dodge rolls a blast finisher every 10 seconds. As well as with the utility Arcane Wave, I could triple finish a single field, so for example I could get 9 stacks of might (3x finisher) + 1 from swapping to fire to finish it. 10 stacks of might at the start of combat is plenty extra dps and with 30 points in Arcane, those stacks are gonna last a good while. Higher level personal quests often spawn a load of mobs at once on you, which is where I really really liked to have the staff in hand for a frost field, crippling zone and the load of AoEs you can lay down. Also 2 different water fields that you can combo off for healing when needed and you can also keep permanent swiftness on you when travelling the world, handy. | ||

Vista's POI's and jumping challenges can sometimes be next to impossible to find, it promotes interaction with strangers and helping one another, something many MMO's have failed to do (even RIFT, was a silent grind on rifts) the events are hard and cause you to band together and often regroup in order to do them. The little things they've added like the diessa lowlands temple that is completely dedicated to a giant puzzle is amazing, we got all the way to the end and realised nobody brought the sword, this gave us a few laughs and put point 1 (communcating with randoms) in effect we got back and got completely facesmashed by this champ boss inside so we had to regroup and call more people (point 2!! XD) only to find out there is absolutely NOTHING you gain from beating him..even the vista and waypoint werent in the place, it was on the main map, trolled by anet on a massive scale. FU! I love this game so much :3 | ||

The PvP guild I'm in put in about 5g that night on upgrades and apparently it was all for nothing. WvW resetting every 24 or 48 hours right now makes it even more pointless to drop so much money on upgrades. Not really happy with the state of WvW overall now that I've been playing it a ton during my free time.When you wake up to find 90% of all the worlds taken over by one server, it is incredibly difficult to mount any sort of comeback. If you think of it similarly to starcraft, they have the technology, economy, upgrade, and unit advantage (from orbs and more players usually). And similarly to starcraft, you will only make a comeback maybe 1% of the time this far behind. It'd be like a zerg on 5 bases with hive tech against a zerg on hatch tech with 1 base. It's just not gonna happen. I don't know what could be changed to WvW to give more of a chance when a team is so far behind. Clearly they want to incentivize servers taking over as much area as possible. I just wish winning was through them having a more skillful and organized group rather than through having a substantial advantage in every facet (as explained earlier). Meh. Guess I'll just wait for the next reset and go with my guild again. | ||

Cuz that is not the case whatsoever. What they'll do is not be satisfied with 90% and try to keep 100%. And the other teams will get spawn camped by 20+ | ||

Usually single opponents are dead after using Poison Dart Volley followed by the Tool Belt kit skills (with having the static discharge trait! it owns imo)... Grenade barrage is fucking insane damage. So far i'm basically just using grenade kit for this, but it's also great for switching after all the dual pistol skills are on CD. Ofc it also owns for AoE. Btw i've just started a ranger and the damage seems pretty low for me. Using a long bow (am lvl 16 atm) and mostly don't need to tank because i'm not playing alone. Wonder if i am doing something wrong or if that changes later on. | ||

Explorable mode requires you to be a few levels higher and gives you options as you go through the dungeon. Taking different paths and stuff, a bit harder. | ||
