What does this even mean ? This game will be pvp centric. All balance will be tailored towards PvP or they will have their own unique PvP numbers like GW1. The tiering system was more of a PVP decision than a PVE one. | ||

Also, it's not even in open beta yet. Who knows how many more balance changes and skill changes will happen. Saying guild wars is not pvp oriented is like saying walls aren't solid. That's pretty much the reason the game exists. | ||

That's kinda what I'm afraid of. I've never been THAT into PvP in MMOs. So this may end up not being a game for me. Which is fine. I just wanted to confirm w/ ppl about it before I said yay or nay to dropping $60 on the game. | ||

And whether or not their actions suggest they are focusing on pvp or not is up to interpretation. You interpret their actions as not supporting PvP. I completely and utterly disagree with your interpretation. | ||

You mean, in YOUR opinion, they are not going to be pvp centric, because they're developing different form of pvp than what you like. It's damn bloody clear it's a game focused in pvp. Maybe GW1 players will like it, maybe not, but one thing they should realize is that making pvp based on an intricate puzzle of 5 billion builds that you have massive burden of knowledge to even enter, is not what is going to sell in today's market. And at the end of the day, arenanet is a business. That said, I've been quite happy how the game's turning out to be, just need more maps for the BG. And less lag. | ||

Err.. not really man. I mean, this is your interpretation of their actions, which is completely fine. If you've arrived at the opinion of them as being a company who don't support PvP, then fine. Make your own decisions. But to say that they've 'clearly stated' and then suggest that this is fact, is simply wrong and shouldn't be in this thread. At the very least, append your words with an 'IMO', to make it clear to those who aren't sure about the truth of the matter that your claims are purely speculative and not actually based on any hard evidence. | ||

 .I'm not even playing in the beta's since the first one so I can enjoy the game even more and not have to start over. Played the first one, had a blast and will definitely enjoy when the full release comes out ^_^ | ||
