Fuck man, if this happened a few weeks earlier the Niners could have got him
I think Jim could turn out to be a good head coach in a few years. His brother is pretty good in Baltimore, and he was really good in Stanford (aided, of course, by Andrew Luck), so I think he was a pretty solid grab. Other teams? They made poor choices. I wish this would have happened before John Fox was hired.
Yeah I don't think Jim was bad, but I'd take an experienced NFL coach over the brother of an NFL coach any day of the week. College doesn't necessarily translate to NFL.
What was the point with that public announcement that the Titans were picking Fisher over Young a few weeks ago if they were just going to do this anyway? Are going to get rid of both of them? I don't understand this firing at all. And the timing of it is so weird - after the head coaching spots are filled for this year. I guess the owner was just feeling extra malicious?
It could be that. Also, the details have been real vague... supposedly Fisher was pissed that one of his coords was fired and another left for a new job? Who knows.

Reid is an amazing coach who would u rather have right now? Honestly there's nobody out there including staffed coaches besides bellichek. Reids been here since 99 and we've missed the playoffs 3 times- dudes a beast.

Yeah Reid's def got faults, but there's not many coaches that I think are overall better than him. Besides Fisher and Cower, I don't think there's anyone available that's even on the same level.
The dude demonstrated this year he can take a washout and turn him into a much better player and pro bowler. Just overall, I feel he's been solid in personnel decisions for the most part, they draft fairly well minus the not getting receivers for McNabb until his last year. The offense, while not traditional really, is usually efficient.
I'm wondering, is no one interested in the Pro Bowl? Is it just not interesting at all? Is the Super Bowl just way too hyped up that there is none left for the Pro Bowl? IMO, since the Pro Bowl consists of TONS of NFL stars in one team, it would be an amazing game right? : /
Sooo, I know there's no blitzing in the Pro Bowl, but I thought that meant you just couldn't blitz defenders other than down linemen. Are QB hits just against the rules in general?

The defensive linemen aren't trying. It's the most injured position in football for a reason: the guys are busting their asses at all times trying to get to the QB. In a game that doesn't matter they're not gonna push all out to get to them, so while taking down the QB isn't illegal (vick was sacked earlier), it's not going to happen much.
