I'm a bit surprised at how well the Seahawks are moving the ball right now. The Rams defense isn't really terrible. They aren't great, but probably pretty average, vs a bad offense.

I love how the Rams keep failing on down field attempts, yet they do not stop going down field.

Man, if I had something even slightly better to do, I would do it. This is terrible football. The NFL scheduler should be kicked in the nuts for putting this on SNF.

I hope Seattle wins just so we can laugh that a team with a losing record makes the playoffs. Even an 8-8 team in the playoffs is a total joke imo the Giants/Bucs are SO much more deserving than either of these teams... Weird stuff this season with playoff seedings and teams that make the playoffs.

Even over in the AFC, to have the Ravens at 12-4 getting a 5th seed, pretty crazy.

not last year, but i believe the year before, the 11-5 patriots didnt make the playoffs, but the 8-8 chargers won their division. i wouldnt necessarily call the chargers deserving that year either

I understand that people dislike that bad division winners make the playoffs, while good teams miss the playoffs, but that's what happens when there are divisions. If division winners didn't always make the playoffs, what would be the point in having divisions?

oh yeah I remember that.

Well you have to give division winners a playoff berth obviously but the talk lately is fixing it so for example a 10-6 colts team doesn't get a higher seed than a 12-4 ravens, etc.

A lot of people favor a league without divisions, or at least with divisions in name only. Not saying I agree with that, but that is generally the logical conclusion of these arguments.

EDIT: Oh god the Seahawks are looking like they have this now. NFC West you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I'm pretty sure they're all ashamed of the bad teams they've fielded this year, even the Seahawks. No professional player likes to lose more than they win. And, although the Seahawks will correctly say the only thing that matters is making it, and that they have a shot, they know they don't belong. Deep down inside of each of those players, there's something in them that knows they're lying to everyone when they say they don't care that they're 7-9 in the playoffs.
