Eh... he had a team until today. Drafted a week or two ago.

I think he'll end up somewhere and be productive... it's not like I need for him to be amazing.

Having a top tight end is a nice thing to have- I had Gates last year and his value over his replacement was quite high. After a point yeah, there's not much point, and drafting one early is dumb- but given where I drafted him, I'm quite happy with Vernon Davis. I do regret not getting another WR earlier to compliment Boldin, but I've had all my backups poached before and it really, really sucks.

There's usually at least a few productive wide receivers that pop up during the season that no one has on their roster, so it's a little easier to build up depth at the position over the course of the season.

Yeah, you're probably right on that last paragraph. You're absolutely right about the drop off in TE production. To me, though (just personal opinion), I think having a top tier TE is more of a luxury than a requirement. I think you can typically match TE production with a second tier WR, or a carousel at WR and TE can work (I've done both and had moderate success, and I base success on points scored, not wins, just to be clear... because wins are random, another, significantly worse team, can have a great week against a very good team, and you can run into this over and over again... I did last year).

Still, overall a good team. I like reading stuff like this and examining it prior to my draft, it gets me more in tune with the football season.

I looked over your team again, and I gotta say I love the Stafford pick. I don't think there's a better match up in week 10 than Stafford vs Buffalo. Beyond that, he has the potential to blow up this season, making for a good replacement in case of injury or needed trade.

ROFL. Hilarious football play.
Leinart Released. HAHAHAHA, whiny bitch.

And another thing, to the fantasy players, what sites do you go to for fantasy football help?

I used to go to fantasyfootballcafe if I had a roster question, but everyone wants their shit answered and won't help you. Or they give you short answers with little-to-no explanation. I used to put in hours at that site with posts as long as my posts in this thread for a single person, breaking down every reason I thought he should start X over Y, and then I'd get "Warner" in my "Warner or Favre?" thread.

I'm surprised Jarvis Green lasted as long as he did. Not surprising that JWalk got cut. Kris Brown and Shayne Graham are the only two players I can see landing somewhere out of that list.

Who? Nevermind, I figured it out. I thought that was in response to the cuts list.

I'm kinda glad that Parker is gone from that team; I think his career is over. He was so overrated, it was disgusting to me.

Brilliantly, the Broncos traded a corner back that they need (who is decent), for a TE no one has ever heard of and an undisclosed pick. McFuckstick at work!

Stacy Andrews, Shawn Andrews' brother who signed as a free agent from Cincy.

The idea was to have the two brothers playing alongside each other, but Shawn had serious back and mental issues, despite being a dominant guard. Stacy on the other hand was completely underwhelming in our guard position for the money he was receiving, we basically brought in Wells as a direct replacement for him.

Rumors are floating around that the Vikings have interest in Housh. That'd be a great addition for that team, since Sidney Rice is already hurt, and Percy Harvin is having migraine issues. It would definitely give them some much needed consistency at WR.

How is this?

QB: Schaub, E. Manning, Matt Ryan
RB: MJD, Ray Rice, Jahvid Best, CJ Spiller, Moreno
WR: Ochocinco, Roddy White, Sims-Walker
TE: Gates, Gonzalez
K: Kaeding
DST: Philadelphia Eagles

Good team, but I'd like to see the other six teams, because with only six... it feels like you could/should have a better team.

Also, to everyone newer here, keep in mind that Hawk jocks the shit out of the Niners' nuts. Just saying that he's bias for his crap team. : D

Yeah, I drafted 6th out of 6, so I ended up taking MJD and Rice at 6 and 7. By the time I drafted, Andre Johnson, CJ, AP, Brees, and Rodgers were all gone. Andre Johnson was the first overall pick, lol. I then took QB and WR with my next two picks.

I think this is probably the best team:

QB: Rodgers, Brady, Cassel
WR: Calvin Johnson, Colston, Percy Harvin, Dwayne Bowe
RB: Turner, Steven Jackson, Shonn Greene, Ahmad Bradshaw
TE: Jason Witten
K: Ryan Longwell
DST: NYG, NO

Also, guys, this is my first season playing Fantasy Football. Can someone explain to me how the waiver wire works? My waiver position is 1, I think.

in a nutshell, when the waiver period opens, you are the first to pick up on any dropped players.

Are undrafted players up for grabs?

I'm not optimistic about the Vikings. They should pick up Housh though, that makes sense. I don't understand why everyone expects Farve to have a similar season to last year's. He had a career year at age 39, why would he do that again?

Well, it shows that he's still got it in the tank. Although with Rice out, it's gonna be significantly harder this year. Vincent Jackson anyone?

Well, I suppose that's true to some extent. He was good last year, I just don't expect him to be nearly as good this year.
