What a bitch Orton is. The media should have thrown that insight back at him. "So, you're saying it's perfectly acceptable to go for another player's knees when tackling?"

You sound like the Redskins (management... the fans have slowly wizened up to the importance of offensive lines in the past decade of fail, although in fairness Bruce Allen seems to understand it now).

"NEED BETTER QBS"

I'm sorry but I don't like to watch a quarterback that throws a ball 5 yards hoping for the WR to get the extra 5. Yes this may be the play calling of the coach and not the QB, but a QB has the ability to change the play if necessary and should be able to make plays down field. And I'm sorry but getting a 3rd RB at this point in time just really doesn't make sense in my mind (regardless of thinking they will trade later).
BTW, Redskins just released a WR and got a new QB and will probably have a much stronger season. Yes obviously a O Line is necessary to have an efficient offense, BUT it sure does help to have a non-drone QB who has the presence of mind to move out of the pocket or throw the ball when necessary
He is saying that it wouldn't matter if Peyton Manning was the Bills' QB because their line is terrible. He's not disagreeing that Spiller was a terrible luxury pick by a shit team, but he is disagreeing that a QB is what the team really needed.
Look around the league. You can't find a good team with a crappy line. They don't exist.
The Green Bay Packers. Pretty sure they exist. Who got sacked the most (by far) last year ?

The Packers are an average team that has an inflated record due to A) the North being ass outside of the Vikes and Pack and B) Rodgers having a 12 inch dong.
As great as he is, that's nothing more than a 8-8, 9-7 team because of the line and a pretty average D. They just get freebies from Detrioit and Chicago. And don't forget, they got the NFC West last year, and that div only had Arizona as it's competitive team.

And don't forget that Arizona's offense curb stomped their D in the playoffs, and the week 16 or 17 match meant absolutely nothing to the Cardinals. I think Leinart saw some time in that one.
Even so, they've already surpassed your 8-8, 9-7 record with their 11-5 last year, though they did get a lay down game from Ari. They aren't really playing many spectacular opponents from last year though. They play the NFC East/South, and part of the AFC East. They could end with an 11-5 record again this year. I think they brought some OL in this year... That offense is really stacked, so they could make it through the regular season with some degree of ease, depending on how the other teams improved. I don't think they're a Super Bowl contender, though, because if that offense slows down at all, it's coyt'ns for them.
Oh yeah I know that. I'm just saying, flip out a Detroit or St. Louis cakewalk, and that record changes real fast.
Basically the Pack is has a lot of really good individual parts, but the sum of the team as a whole is pretty average. The awesome skill dudes on offense are absolutely bogged down by the shitty line and that (besides the D) is what prevents the Pack from being a truly good team. They succeed in spite of that line, kind of like what Big Ben's got going on in Pitts. That line has really gone downhill over the last few years.

There's no way in hell your typcial QB can take down a defender like Harrison, which is why you always see QBs attempt tackles like what Orton was doing.
Harrison on the other hand is a dirty POS who tried to injure a QB in a preseason game.. standard play for that dirty ass team. Im sure Hines Ward gave him props later on. Ask any division rival, the Steelers are a disgusting team. Lead by Mr. Rapistberger.

The Steelers are definitely a dirty team, I would personally not deny that. That doesn't change the fact that the QB going at his knees could potentially end his career. The QB could try to bump him up high, and knock him out of bounds, especially on the sidelines like that. Or wait and go for his thighs, instead of going way low like that. It's interesting that people find it completely acceptable for a QB to go low on a player like that, but should a defensive player go low on a QB, suddenly it's dirty play.

Isn't it ironic how the worst division in football has still made 2 of the last 5 superbowls?
Makes a lot of sense, actually. Worse opponents means you can play your backups more and not get as worn out throughout the season. Leaves you more fresh come playoff time. Also makes getting a good PO seed easier.

Have they changed that yet? To where division winners don't necessarily get a home game in the wild card game, but the team with the better record does?

I'm down 6;45 est or pacific?

Top 2 teams this year are definitely going to be Vikings. Now that Brett Favre is back, if there O Line gets healthy and Rice gets back in action early, they will have a amazing season, since he is the best quarterback in the NFL i wouldnt expect anything less than Playoffs again. Other team that will do really well will be Dallas/colts i am not fully sure both are solid teams. I thin dallas has weapons offensively and defensively. But colts play well and even tho i hate them and i hate payton with a passion. I think they will both do well. Probably Colts will do better. But living in San Diego and being the super Packer fan that i am. I am hoping for Green Bay to go far especially with the defense they have and the weapons on offense they can do it. Chargers are full of shit and have nearly kicked off any chances they had at winning a superbowl, now having 2 holdouts and releasing 6 pro bowl players. Its ridiculous. So we will see but all in all Go PACKS.
