would it be cool if we invited friends to your server? i have a friend who doesn't post on TL and isn't a griefer, can i get him whitelisted too when you start it up? we've been looking for a steady multiplayer server to mess around with together i'm "gtrsrs" in-game and he's "WerdnaEgni" also, pickle me a noob, but i noticed in that Trap Tutorial video on youtube. he was always talking about being "boosted" in his minecart and i noticed it was always next to another minecart when that happened. i've yet to build any tracks in any of my mines (iron is too precious brah) but is there some sort of exploit where jumping into a minecart right next to another minecart on another track gets you some phenomenal speed boost? cause that's cool. | ||

I'm tnkted in game, for the whitelist. As far as anti-griefing stuff goes: I think that a whitelist is probably the best way to go to avoid getting your stuff ruined. I don't anticipate people burning down houses, but I mean, lets face it: some tl whitelisted guys are going to steal stuff; i've done it, i aint no saint. hiding your chests and stuff is part of the game. My favorite servers to play on are actually the ones where you have to bury your chests and stuff so that nobody steals your things; i've come up with some great little systems for hiding things, building a chest 1 block lower then your floor and then covering it up with a wall, secret rooms inside secret rooms, decoy chests, etc. hell, it might even be fun to play a 'find the diamond block inside the fortress' every now and then, assuming somebody builds a fortress they don't mind people tearing apart block by block. Heck, I'll do it, i love building stuff like that. everybody know how to play spleef? its a fun game. you get a 10x10 floor of dirt suspended above the ground and you get two logs and a workshop to make as many tools as you can. The point of the game is to dig the ground out from beneath your opponent. its super fun and theres actually some strategy to it! | ||

Right now I just need people to log in so I can see how the hardware usage goes and whatnot. Once I get the server stable, I'll add some mods, set up some people as admins, put up a permanent IP, etc. Again, don't get attached to anything yet because I'm not sure what will happen to the map when I start adding mods to it. Also, will be adding a whitelist when the server leaves beta so don't worry too much if a non-TLer joins now. 208.115.212.34 PS - The server might lag for 30-60 seconds when you first join (dunno why), but it should be fine after the initial log in. | ||
