Since someone mentioned Final Fantasy Tactics, here are some overpowered combos I found for FFTA2. Maybe some other people came up with these two (it's not hard) so I don't want to take any credits for these.
![[image loading]](http://up.anhso.net/upload/20090825/07/o/anhso-47_vier-summoner.jpg) 1) Summoner/Red Mage: Summoning Magick, Red Magick, Regeneration/Critical: Haste, Blood Price. Also equip one piece of elemental-absorbing armor (take your pick) and Ninja Tabi for speed. The trick is to abuse Double Cast + Summoning Spell + Blood Price for unlimited casting (using Blood Price, casting spells cost HP instead of MP), and in case HP is needed, cast damaging spell on yourself with the element that you absorb. With a high level Summoner, this means about 600+ damage on everyone around the Summoner and about 300+ heal for the Summoner herself. This is by far the most powerful thing as far as elemental damage output is concerned. Also Summoners can revive and dispell, making her the ultimate support as well. Unfortunately Luso and Adel are not Viera and cannot use this combo. However they have the following:
![[image loading]](http://dsmedia.gamespy.com/ds/image/article/880/880245/final-fantasy-tactics-a2-grimoire-of-the-rift-20080609004724619-000.jpg) 2) Dual Wield + Magick Frenzy: With the Passive Ability Dual Wield from the Ninja class (essentially allowing two Melee attacks) and Magick Frenzy from the Seer class, a Hume can follow any offensive spell with a Melee attack (or two attacks through Dual Wield). Since Seer's -ra spells hits 5 cells, this combo can cause tons of damage. Idealy, the Hume using this combo should be a Paladin, Parivir, or Heritor (Adel only). Paladin and Parivir are obvious choices; Heritor is useful because of the large selection of weapons.
![[image loading]](http://up.anhso.net/upload/20090825/07/o/anhso-33_vier-sniper.jpg) 3) Blood Price + Ultima Blow Pretty simple. Ultima Blow from Assassin costs a lot of MP and does a lot of damage. Blood Price removes the MP problem. Ideally one should use a Sniper, with Sharpshooting, Assassination, Regeneration, and Blood Price.
![[image loading]](http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/3017/273245-final_fantasy_tactics_a2_viera_fencer_large.png) 4) Double Shot + Fencer Another simple combo. Use Double Shot from Sniper and a Melee weapon (specifically, Last Letter) for good damage. Fencer is recommended for higher HP. Damage wise, this is not as good as Dual Wield + Magick Frenzy since this combo is kind of like a build with Dual Wield but no Magick Frenzy. However a Fencer can use a shield, making her a very good tank as well.
![[image loading]](http://up.anhso.net/upload/20090825/07/o/anhso-55_nu-illusionist.jpg) 5) Illusionist + Bard. Illusionists' spells hits every single enemy on the board but costs a lot of mana. Bard can easily recharge mana of those around her. So just take 3-4 Illusionists (you may want to make them into Alchemists for better Intelligence growth, though) and your Bard in the middle... everything will be dead in 2-3 rounds. This is also why you should use Nu Mou for this, and not Hume.

As soon as i saw this thread, I immediately thought of Ivan Ooze. If you haven't seen the video, his weak punch is only beatable by 1 move in the game, his fireball beats all other projectiles, auto-aims and is easy to combo into, and a few other moves that are crazy broken.
Gives me nightmares.. uuufff

Morrowind: First thing you do is grab a decent mortal and pestle and start practicing alchemy. Alchemy lets you make potions to buff your stats, including those stats that govern alchemy. Ride the positive feedback loop for just a few minutes and you'll have stats that exceed the naturally achievable limits by a couple orders of magnitude. In theory these potions will wear off sometime, but by the time you've boosted your stats that high they'll last for hours at a time. oh shit I gotta try that
This is the reason why Oblivion only lets you have 4 active potion effects at once. However, you can break Oblivion in a different way by enchanting equipment so you have a total of 100% chameleon. Chameleon is a modifier to the amount of light that your character is exposed to. Normally this only affects your sneak, but if you get it to 100% then you are completely invisible and nothing an target you. Unless you have mods/one of the DLCs, you can't do this until you are inducted into the Mage's Guild, so it's not as abusive as Morrowind where you can steal a good alchemy set from one of the towns right at the very beginning of the game.

In perfect dark, there was a gun that you could shoot through any and all walls with, it had infrared scope. So you could see your enemy through any number of walls and shoot him. It was beyond ridiculous. My friends wouldn't let me use it because I memorized the spawn points and would just quick scope to them and kill everyone.

her first skill, that she starts with when you get her, perma movement locks everything, including post-game super bosses rendering them completely helpless and unlikely to so much as attack once for the entire battle.
it should be noted the skill in question is 3 cats appearing out of the ground and punching the enemy. awesome. :3

Yeah, 100% chameleon is retarded and completely ruins the game. This is coming from a "detect life" user which is pretty damn imba too.

The Master Pistoleer in Star Wars Galaxies at launch was the most broken class in MMORPG history. At master level, you got an ability (I think it was called Disrupting Blast) that hit all enemies in a cone at like 60-70 meters, knocked them down, prevented them from taking any actions for 10 seconds, and did a substantial amount of damage. The ability could be spammed every second, and if you hit the same person again, another 10 seconds would be added onto the timer preventing him from doing anything. Since it was a knock down, once someone got hit the first time, he was completely screwed. PvP in SWG was often in big groups, and a master pistoleer could win 1v30 fights alone because of that ability. Sony took about 2 months before patching and changing the ability to do nothing at all. Damn that game was a disaster.

All this Farsight OP I think is unfair. Sure you could snipe people through walls, but the challenge, and fun was in the fact that you had no depth/terrain vision while sniping. Sure you might be able to track their movement for the next 1-2 seconds, but beyond that you had no idea if they were going up a flight of stairs or running across a field.
I wish there were more farsights in FPS games best weapon EVAR
As far as OP characters I would have to go with Barbarians at the launch of Age of Conan.
A rogue who uses 2 handed weapons, has 4 stunning abilities, and if by some miracle you lived through that and got away, or just stumbled upon the wrong barbarian, they could throw their weapon every 30 seconds, one-shotting anybody.
