i c tyvm you say go hard difficulty on adventure mode, so im guessing i need to get sufficient levels on campaign before i start? also are monks or dh still fun? i liked the monk class when d3 first came out but dh had the much better damage then. i loved the kiting too i guess

I think every class is fun, and I think most of them are viable later on. It's not like only DH can run Torment like it used to be upon release. But with Monk, Barb and Crusader, you'll need to hit some checkmarks when it comes to armor and HP. Also new armor sets (green gear) help with viability.

And I think you need to do the campaign once on your account to unlock Adventure mode but otherwise I would say don't bother with campaign.
Fun is relative. If you enjoy the mechanics they are all fun.
As for Viable, Everything is viable. Some classes can get higher GRift levels then others but that only really matters at the cutting edge and event then the leaderboards are done by class anyway.

I'm having a blast so far. Almost completed my 6 piece. I'm not sure if I should be glad Death's Breath is giving me something to do or irritated by being gated by it.

I haven't done a lot of crafting but I'd rather be gated by Death's Breath than by Reusable Parts.

Healing monk seems broken OP. I wonder if any group can get on the board without one.

Finally managed to complete a Vyr's set, was a pain in the ass and required probably 36 hours in total to get the head, belt, weapon, source as well as the regular set, but it was well worth it. The Archon is pretty broken, as soon as I got the weapon and final set piece I jumped from barely doing level 30 Greater Rifts solo to doing 40+. It takes a small bit of initial setup but after that the set just melts everything in its path, I regularly see 1 billion damage pulses from the wand and source set and can go from anywhere between 75 and 140 archon stacks depending on rift architecture and mob density.
My set is still not perfect though, I've got few ancients and some subpar stats on a few pieces of gear, because I could easily see this set doing Grifts 60 with great gear.
I think this set is hands down the best so far in terms of damage that I've ever seen.

you can look here for season four wizard builds, often the top players upload fake builds so others dont copy, but you can usually tell whats best by checking a bunch of them http://www.diabloprogress.com/class.wizard

Is there anything in that build that decrases archon cooldown, or do you just spend a lot of time between archons doing much less damage? I guess you spend the time building stacks for the wand, but do you deal any damage?

I think its a helm since theres the new belt that gives you archon stacks immediately when you enter it.

does the real money auction still exist? how reliant do you have to be on it?
|
Doesn't exist anymore. Legendaries are a lot easier to find now and you'll almost always find it with your characters primary stat on it.

I didnt see anyone with that (they had vyrs helmet), but I guess they cubed the ability in then. Yes they all have the starting archon charges belt. They all had convention of elements and halo of arlyse as rings, and I assume they cube for unity. Which makes sense, as unity is the worst ring terms of other stats I think.
Which weapon cube goes with that then... Does the teleport cooldown --> mana work in archon, so that you can spend mana while in archon form on mass teleport? Seems a bit OP, wouldnt think it works. Are there any other archon buffing weapons otherwise? Furnace is always there I guess if nothing else.

If you want loot you have to go and get it yourself now. Cant trade it either since all legendary's are Bound to your Account.

You get all of the archon runes by cubin the head piece (swami) which lowers archon cooldown. Then you get some CDR into your build from head gem, paragon levels and the gear itself. Then for your jewelry cube slot you put in zodiac ring, which reduces cd by 1 sec everytime a spender hits a target. So when your archon ends, you pewpew mobs with a spender (normally arcane torrent now) to gain chantodo stacks and refresh the cooldown. Ideal situation is that as soon as you hit 20 stacks of chantodo, archon comes off cooldown again and then you rince and repeat.
Weapon to cube is furnace. Gems to pick currently are stricken, trapped and pain enhancer.
As for if you deal any damage during this time, well definately not as much as in archon form, although the stacks lingering from your archon form do help.
