diablo gods, WHY. Still better than my 2 WHs, the first one was a perfect non-smart drop (dex,I play wiz and barb) and the second one rolled 5% ias and 26%cd (the exact minimum).
Anyway WH is overrated, especially if you play MM. Get a Hellcat Waistguard with MM bonus or a Harrington.

Wha... that totally sounds like sour grapes. If anything WH is amazing, especially if you play MM.

BBV slam dance is very good against RGs.
use it instantly as long as the pets are still alive, theyx burn the HP down, then rely on dog and gargantuan for the rest. Dont use gargantuan while you have lots of fetishes up still, he wont do aynthing.
Thats how i handle T6 guardians, its not too bad. Some dont kill my pets and just die =)
I am forcing myself to take a break, i noticed that with my effort to get a starmetal, i started to play out of habit, guess i am vulnerable to the gambling elements.

WH just can't be "amazing" in loot 2.0 since it's limited by its 4 primary affixes and it doesn't have a legendary effect, so essentially it gives 15% more damage and 15% less toughness in comparison to a defensive belt - and I'm pretty sure that toughness is relevant at higher torments. Furthermore critical damage competes with MM bonus, which can be easily obtained on common belts like Hellcat and Fleeting Strap (crafted), while WH is a mess since it comes with high variance (26-50%cd) and a guaranteed skill bonus (25% chance to get MM, not counting non-smart drop).
This is just considering standard legendaries. Then we have set belts (Tal's, Crimson, even Blackthorne) and Harrington, all of which can easily roll MM bonus. An Harrington Waistguard with MM is way above everything else in some dungeons (like Battlefields of Eternity), and comparable to a perfect WH (on average) in most of them - without the drawbacks.

Also 50% at best. It's good for some builds/classes, maybe BiS for someone although Harrington is still out of reach in half the dungeons. For a MM wiz though it competes with a number of other belts for the reasons stated before.
It's like saying "Lacuni bracers are amazing!!!" because they can roll elemental damage, main stat, cc and attack speed. No they're not, because both defensive stats (vit/res) and legendary effects (Aughild, Strongarm, Warzechian) are equally or more valuable.

That's why I rate harringtons much higher than WH.

50% crit damage at a 450-500% crit damage base and 50% crit chance is around 5% additional damage. i don't really see it as that explosive of a damage boost from the Crit Damage alone.
the paper dps increase is mostly from the attack speed roll, which is really hit or miss depending on your build.
it's really overrated
|
Well we were talking about a Magic Missile build so the attack speed matters. The point was that there are 2 other belts with attack speed, so assuming that we want at least vitality it's either ias/cd or ias/MM, which isn't much of a difference in terms of edps.
Of course a WH is better for a fire Archon/MM build since MM bonus is less relevant and critical damage boosts Archon too. I play both builds switching between a near perfect Hellcat (with life per kill, otherwise I would lose too much survivability) and Harrington... t5 is already challenging as it is, on t6 I would probably use Harrington with int/vit/res/life.

Does higher torment levels increase the chance for unique matts to drop?

Yes, legendary mats have the same drop rates as Death's Breaths and they both increase with difficulty level.

Does anyone know if this is the same for monsters with guarenteed spawn like Maghda's souls and Reaper's tear? I killed maghda 50 times on T1 and only got 5 Soul's. (expected outcome is 15)
I saw that reaper's tear drop rates was buffed specifically, so wondering if other end bosses still drops their crafting mats less frequent than elites. Or I could just have been super unlucky. Anyone else been farming Maghda?

I was more just surprised a WH actually dropped and that it was so terrible! I would like to try a harrington though, I haven't found one yet.

Think it might be.. I had to kill her quite many times on T3 to get 5 souls. It definitely was not 44%, that's for sure.

I finally got a RoRG on my wiz, but I can't tell if it's properly activating stuff. I had 3 Firebird's set items and it gave me the 4pc bonus, it was lit up on the item tooltip. now I've got Vyr's boots and Guardian's belt, but the 2 item set bonuses aren't lit up. what gives? My character sheet doesn't show the added 500 int from the Vyr 2pc at all

RoRG "Reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 (to a minimum of 2)"
