I started off with 5mil and I'm able to run Torment III now without having ever touched normal. As for the people who say running normal is fun, I understand that D3 is not a game that's played for the challenge, it's a game that I play very casually, destroying stuff and chilling out while paying little attention, but having fun while farming monsters which literally can't hurt you is probably a mental illness (I'm sort of kidding)
I'm playing hardcore so I'm taking additional precautions to not die and lose my character permanently.
It is quite the rush when you're trying out higher difficulties and constantly about to lose everything though.

The fun for me isnt specifically the mob killing but I rather enjoy speedrunning so it's fun to try to run through bounties as fast as possible, so when mobs take more than a few hits an I'm running out of hatred I get annoyed. There's also enough variety in doing all 5 act bounties to keep that aspect entertaining as well.

keep trying to gamble for a cindercoat. i got every other unique armor so far or it seems like.
kridershot seems interesting, though a buriza with devouring arrow beats it for hatred generator dmg by quite a bit.

The main draw of it is that as far as I can tell, the extra missile procs Prodigy by itself, which means it actually acts as a reasonable Arcane Power generator compared to Electrocute. So far I've tried using it with two builds (both using FOrb as the spender). First was a full Cold build with Glacial Spike and Black Hole(Absolute Zero), and the other was an EE build with Conflagrate, the Conflagration passive, and Black Hole(Spell Steal). The Cold build would probably have better damage if I had more Cold damage, but I had a better experience with the EE build because I only have ~20% Cold damage on gear right now.
Ideally you want Lightning damage on your weapon to get the 4th element in, but I haven't had the luxury of being able to choose my weapon damage with my gear as it is now.

Fire Chakram is quite strong and doesn't neccesarily require Cluster
its also a lot more fun then cluster as it costs less and you can use it with Vault and jump around and throw chakrams like a Ninja.

I found a cindercoat from a chest just minutes after reading your post.

Fml...
Thursday evening i lost my Wiz (once upon a time my mainchar) due to stupidity. Well nevermind. Friday evening i lost my Monk (once again, my fault - and i dont mind if thats the case)
Friends powerleveled me through T6 to 61 and i leveled up to 70 friday night.
Well RIP Monk#2, due to the massive server fallout an hour ago. (whole group died, 4 HCs char between paragon 100-160) 800k dps, 15kk toughness, Cindercoat, perfekt tri-hands, just found two decent 1Hs today.
Kind of disheartening to lose the char this way. I know this is what i accept when chosing Hardcore but still - 3 chars in 3 days - devastating.

I dont see any point in running normal, i am decently fast in torment and torment has better xp and drops the OP set items.
Also, its boring.
the stupid gamble vendor...im using all my shards for 2H weapons because i want a lvl 70 Kridershot. But she just laughs at me. Do you get bows if you buy 2H as DH? Or does it give you swords and shit?
i would say i get about 75% ranged weapons.
kridershot seems interesting, though a buriza with devouring arrow beats it for hatred generator dmg by quite a bit.
the ele arrows slow everything, which is free 20% damage.
For now, i am using two one-handed socketed crossbows, one of which spawns turrets and traps and shit on-hit. My quiver couldnt keep up with the 125% crit damage it seems.
Also, i would love to not use cookie cutter cluster arrow, but what else can i use, impale sucks and the channel skill roots me, so that sucks. And the chakrams are nice, but notas hatred dump, they take too much time to cast an equivalent of 1 cluster arrow.
