I know this is a vague question, but could someone give an extremely quick run down of which classes are fun/viable/whatever to play? A summary like 'all are good, play whatever you feel like' would be acceptable!

If I open up an uber portal can anyone come through it with me? Can we use a combiation of keys from different people to make the 4 total? Is it more efficient to solo ubers or use a party?

Is it more efficient to solo ubers or use a party? yes. no, i think the keys are account bound (this may be incorrect). however, you can open up three portals with three different machines from different people. you should always go in with three machines to not waste time and effort. depends on whether you can solo ubers on high levels or whether a group is better. if you can solo mp10 then that will likely be the most efficient. if you cant, then no. higher mp = higher chance of getting parts. no parts = wasted machine. i would never go in solo because the mp would be too low. edit: also, there arent four keys. there are three keys and then you get the plans in act iv. after you have crafted the plans once, you never have to go back to act iv.

How exactly are the keys used, Do you place them on alters or something? Are the bosses difficult or will I be able to beat them on the mp level I can farm?

Are the bosses difficult or will I be able to beat them on the mp level I can farm? you get three keys and craft them into an infernal machine at blacksmith. blacksmith learns how to craft from plan you find in act iv. you use the infernal machine to open up a portal. there are three total portals (each has different ubers with different parts that you need for ring). you dont get to pick which portal opens so its best if you have three machines so that you have a chance at all three parts each time (plus you dont have to get 5 NV multiple times). i have played the ubers only once at mp7. i relied on others to kill them for me. they arent too difficult if you have good gear and a guy that can tank one while the other three gang up on the second uber. i would never do it solo because its too hard to handle them alone without insane gear. i would never do it below mp7 because the drop rate is not high enough. i did mp7 (70% chance of drop) and got 2/3 parts so for me one wasted machine. look at this thread for a guy who will do the run for you: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=378131 i msg'd him and didn't get a response so dont know if he is still doing it. there is also a group on diablo chat where you can find uber groups. they suck though for the most part. gl

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/7597724 the most important thing to note is that each mp level gives you an additional 10% chance of a part drop. so if you fight on mp3 there is a 30% chance of a part dropping, which is shitty because it probably took you forever to get the 3 keys necessary for that infernal machine.

Running Fields of Misery takes so long... dahlgur is worse. there is no trick that i know of, but what i do is run through the map looking for the keywarden at the outset. once i find him i tp out to get NV. this way, you are getting NV stacks from elites while looking for keywarden. make sure you dont lose tp or remember where he is so that you can find keywarden real fast. another thing is to do it in groups, one runs to the left, one the right, one south, one north.

What I do is teleport to Oasis, and keep running around and killing elite packs until I find the keywarden. If I'm not at 5 nv, I just keep running. The keywarden doesn't chase after you. For act 1, I go festering woods -> fields of misery For act 3, I just do alkaiser runs with stonefort at the end to kill two birds with one stone

Both of those zones are big, which means it's hard to find the warden, but on the other hand there are a ton of events/dungeons/elite spawns. Chances are you'll run into a few before you find the Warden. Besides, the Wardens aren't that hard so if you drag one into an elite pack, you should be ok (they seem to like chasing me, but the A2 warden is really easy to spot with his bubble so you can avoid getting too close to him at least).

Themooseheed#2371 some advice, only open one at a time. make sure you can defeat them at the associated mp level. if you can, then open another. if you cant, then remake at a lower mp level and you dont waste machines.

Also, Blizz says the Uber difficulty is about the same as Diablo; so you can use that to test. Although I would strongly recommend dropping an MP level if you try it solo - they can get pretty overwhelming without a way to spread out their attention.
