You need to get your damage up. To efficiently farm Act 3, you need a nice balance of dps and survivability. From a quick look at your profile it looks like you have survivability down with lots of resistances and life but with such low dps it will take you far too long to kill monsters. As Karot said, try the monk thread and ask for some upgrade help but you should include your budget for upgrades. I would guess most will say to start working in crit chance and crit damage to up your dps.

crits... that's what my friend told me too. Thanks to both of you. There was a time when I adamantly refused to use AH. Then I hit act 2.

My favorite is getting a sweet roll on say an offhand Wiz source, except for the mainstat being dex instead of int:
80-380 dmg
8.5 crit
9 apoc
5% life
243 dex
And the other way around for quivers. Still usable, but undoubtedly much much more valuable with the proper mainstat. Ah well. Random is random

Tin foil hat time:
I ran for two weeks+ with 300mf before follower MF/NV, and got crap. Decided to drop some MF for more dex to be under 300 with follower and got 4 last night (IK boots, Trium, FireW, Stormshield). I only do 1-2 partial A3 runs a high so getting 4 was pretty awesome.
I'm sure nothing will drop for another week though.

does the red experience gem on helm work for paragon levels? I read somewhere that it only works for the bonus xp you get for aoeing stuff. Anybody know for sure how it works?

14 paragon level with 180% mf, no legendary or set item lol.

The gem increases experience gained from all kills.
