Its all a drop in your magic per hour. I always run with passive MF as a Wizard, I can stack up to about 230, with perhaps only 15-20 mil worth of gear, a cheap set for starting out. I've been spending some time refining methods for item hunting, but this is harder to do by myself, and there is very little discussion about this, usually people only bother posting about how their wizard has 120k dps or about MF swapping, which is pointless if it doesn't increase your rare/hour. Still, 80 rares/hour is impressive with what, 200 passive MF? Even doing Act 1 with 215 passive MF, I don't tend to get more than about 2-2.5 bag full of rares in an hour, which is about 60. In Act 2 I can manage perhaps 40 rares/hour. I assume your rate is from Act 3. On June 19 2012 22:56 andrewlt wrote: I have to agree with this. I sold a Natalya's helm that I wasn't using for $100 because it only had 15% and didn't have a socket. Legendaries and set items sell even if their stats aren't very good. I've sold a lot of cheap $5-$20 crap, too. And a 17% IAS amulet yesterday for $120. It amazes me, who are these people paying money for crap? For instance, I have a 770 armor 80 str 200 vita 80 all resist pants, do you think that could sell on the RMAH? This is considered a good, okay, or crap item on the RMAH? I've noticed many of the good items have moved to the RMAH and the GAH has become more or less worthless unless you have 50 mil+ to spend on items. I suspect the RMAH will slack off once in a while, which is exactly why Blizzard will do stuff like buff the legendaries. I'm pretty sure Blizzard intentionally designed many legendaries to be crap so they could be improved in a patch and encourage more RMAH trading with patches.

Active Skills Bug Fixes Elemental Arrow Skill Rune – Nether Tentacles Tentacles will now only hit each target once Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses Weapon racks will no longer drop weapons 100% of the time Destructible objects no longer have a chance to drop items, and will only have a small chance to drop gold when destroyed Players wearing +Life on Kill items should no longer receive a benefit from this affix when "killing" friendly monsters (e.g. when a witch doctor re-summons a Spider Queen while another Spider Queen is still active) Colossal Golgor base damage has been reduced Herald of Pestilence tentacle attack damage has been reduced Soul Ripper and Soul Lasher damage has been reduced and both monsters will now run away less often Bloodclan Warriors no longer knockback when buffed and attack slightly slower Leaders of Invulnerable Minions packs have had their health pools reduced I don't think this was common knowledge, but leaders of Invulnerable Minion packs used to also automatically get Extra Health (about +33% max life). The damage reductions to several mobs and bosses stacked on top of the general Inferno act II-IV damage reduction should be interesting to see. EDIT: I'm quite pleased with the changes overall. Golgors, Heralds, Soul Rippers, and Bloodclan Warriors were all problem monsters from a Barbarian perspective so it's nice to see them addressed. That monster fleeing frequency and distance was also addressed was expected but also helpful.

Not many are willing to put an godly item up for $250 with a $1 + 15% cut when you can sell it for hundreds of millions and than sell the gold for $5 / mil if one wanted to. Anything worth buying on the GAH is going to be expensive. I am not familiar with the RMAH so I'd appreciate any insights into that. However, I doubt anyone is selling their gold for $5/mil. Last night the spam rate was $3/mil, and this will keep dropping, although I don't know where the floor is. I think it'll be somewhere betwen $0.5-$0.05/mil, given the worthlessness of gold.

General Overall damage has been reduced No longer vulnerable to Confuse and Charm effects Will now drop a health globe every 25% health mark (i.e. at 75%, 50%, and 25% health) Now enrages after 4 minutes In Inferno difficulty, Siegebreaker will now gain the Reflects Damage affix That last one is not going to be friendly to the DH with 20k hp and 150k dps. Although now that champions give 1 extra rare at 5 NV, I think boss runs will be a thing of the past for efficient item hunting.

glad they didn't really nerf wizards, besides the general aspd nerf. Wondering how the improved pathing will work, i got pretty good at getting mobs stuck ![]()

Never played the class but was watching streams where people roflstomp bosses in under 10 seconds. its the diference between one spell that crit for 100-200k with gear hitting once and hitting 3-5 times on the same target.. its massive lol

It does, but for less damage per hit. ~half the 165% I think? It's still amazing AoE.

e: and since I was not in the first wave of people to farm the shit out of the game, gold is a struggle to get, so my gear is not full of int/vit/all/res +extra dps stat or life regen Guess it's now just farming the fields and bridge for packs instead.

I'm pretty sure ball lightning hits less often and has a roughly 50% damage reduction from the listed damage. I was thinking they would nerf nether tentacle multi hitting against large targets but didn't think they'd remove it completely. Ball lightning is more reliable against small, fast moving targets. Sometimes, pre-patch, I wouldn't even hit fallen that are right in front of me with nether tentacles. I'm surprised that the list of monsters nerfed doesn't include phase beasts and terror demons. I thought they were going to reduce monster hp as well? That didn't go through?
