So yeah I'll stick to siegebreaker, it takes me 40min and probably yields more blue/yellow

Played WoW without more than a 2 week break since 2007. Still do. Never ever had server downtime this bad. I played WoW during release till about 2008 i had to deal with 30+min waiting to log in times and really laggy instances(esp for raids for larger groups of people) esp during the holidays for my server believed i played on a popular server kil'jaden or something, and cities were nearly unplayable at times. And WoW often had downtime although they usually had enough time to announce it 1 day before it not earlier and because i didn't play much during release i never noticed too much unscheduled down time. But the main difference is servers in WoW only handle a couple thousand users at a time, things like log-in social and AH handle millions of users depending on region, which can stretch the limits of how well some things scale.

Siegebreaker on the other hand tends to give one good item every every 2 runs or so. That said, is there a good place to get NV stacks other than the bridge before you go kill him? Not having to clear the whole thing would be really nice, esp afking while tyreal kill stuff.

WHAT THE HELL! Blizzard certainly has stats on who kills what how much. Also keep in mind that these kinds of corrections aren´t because they don´t want you to have good stuff but because they know that people tend to choose efficient over fun. The attempt is to encourage players to experience the fun and challenging aspects of the game. The scripted static story encounters are fun until you do the over and over and over (aka D2).

Today I just reached inferno on my hardcore barb and started farming goblins, but it takes so much time I don't think I'll have the patience. I'm probably back to starcraft

The community is basically a massive distributed computer for finding good solutions to "what can I do to get the best drops for the minimum difficulty". This usually results in "farming" being a completely separate way of playing to "actually playing the game". Blizzard are nerfing pure "farming" playstyles, with the goal of the best way of farming being "actually playing the game". That way, people won't feel forced to stop playing the game to do their farming. It's a nice goal, not sure if they'll succeed in the end.

Actually all of WoW's instances have long since been moved to a single server farm per region. So every WoW player in a region doing a raid or battleground is instanced together with up to 39 other people. Every D3 player is instanced together with up to 3 other people. The login servers are unified. You log into bnet and then get assigned to a specific server. You may have a point about the AH, but then again D3's AH has a 10 item limit and no canceling of items, whereas in WoW you can post a gazillion auctions whenever (and people do).

Melees hit a pretty significant gear barrier at the start of A2. Even if there were similar numbers of Barbs/Monks to DHs/Wizards, it will take significantly longer for them to farm the items necessary to be Belial-capable than DHs/Wizards.

If you want to farm in act 2 i would say zoltun/belial runs are quite reasonable, i started doing that with around 25k hp, 25k dps as wizzard, pick quest for zultan, get stacks in black canyon mines, then proceed to do zultan/belial. Takes a bit longer(10-15 mins would say depending how lucky you were with elite spawns) than Butcher runs but chance for better drops overcomes that in my opinion.
